The Canon Ef 70-200mm Lens Is One Of The Cheapest
The Canon EF 70-200mm lens is one of the cheapest L lenses in the market. Got mine 2nd hand from a friend and was not disappointed at all. At f4 all throughout, this may be a little slow (compared to the one with IS and the 2.8 versions) but this gets the job done, with very little to complain. Shooting mostly products and portraits and stills, I had little use of a fast lens. Very impressed with the saturation and how sharp this lens is, at 70mm all the way to 200mm!!!When shooting landscapes you may opt for the 17-40mm f4L which is equally good and cheap. Still, if you had the money you may get the one with IS, or the 2.8, or the 2.8 with IS. But this lens is definitely a keeper, and does justice to the Canon's quality and reputation as one of the world's best.
