Charged me £245 for 15 days worth of cover despite contacting them within the cooling-off period in an attempt to cancel. Spoke to two ladies via telephone, found both to be extremely rude and unhelpful - also provided contradictory information. Very unprofessional company who are very hard to get a hold of - be prepared to wait for a very long time if you wish to speak to them by phone, email communication also very poor as they pick and choose when they feel like responding. Will be taking my personal matter further but would seriously advise anyone considering using this company to go elsewhere.

Did policy online and Paid in full . I phoned them as my documents didn’t upload for them to tell me it had been cancelled but I could speak to the sales team to get another quote . All documents were in my portal . I said I’d cancel then and she said the charge was £115 what a nonsense They didn’t do anything I did all the work online . Avoid ladybird car insurance at all costs. I’m now doubting I will get my £500 back off of them . And I’ve got to wait up to 30 days in this day and age that’s rediculous. Avoid this company as they are very rude on the phone as well and started threatening me for no Reason accusing me of driving my car without insurance because I wouldn’t take the insurance out with them disgusting behaviour

sham company be aware don't not use the charge more then quote demand things i have never done in over 30 years of insurance then demand double the quote Please be aware do not use this company if you do be prepared for things you have never done before wasting your time then they ask for double the money Do not use Ever

Complete incompetence, on calls to this company for 13 hours on a continuous loop. 7 emails which no bothers to respond to. Complaints raised which do not get addressed. I will be referring this to the ombudsman now. Requested a simple policy amendment in putting a new private plate. Was promised this was done yet no documentation to confirm the change. Back on the calls now hoping to speak to anyone who will help. Just spoke to receptionist who said she cant help but she has a new number to transfer me through to. Still waiting... Avoid this company like the plague. It is horrendous the wait times and there is a non existent customer service. Avoid avoid avoid!!

System has been down over a week.. finally up and running... called for a simple amendment to my policy..waited 1hr 30mins to get through.. call cuts off 5 mins..no courtesy call back.. I then call back waiting just over 2hrs guy then puts me on hold.. phone cuts off...no call back...I call again waiting 2hrs 45mins only to hear they can’t amend my policy at the moment CALL YOU BACK WHEN WE CAN. meanwhile I still can’t drive my car. I have paid out on ubers everyday for a week to get to work and back. This company is unprofessional DO NOT INSURE WITH THEM

Please do not book the insurance with Ladybird.. they have taken the money from people... they cancelled my insurance and charged me unconditional charges... never recommended...

Will never insure through Ladybird insurance again. Changed my car 3 months until the end of the policy, informed Ladybird and they said they would need to cancel it as the car was too expansive. I didn't receive an extra no claims bonus as I didn't finish the full year, onto of that they then took a £20 fee plus 10% charge and sent the remaining amount which I will hopefully receive shortly. I then searched for a new provider and Ladybird came up as one of the cheapest. Phoned them up and they said they're a broker etc etc etc. Will never use them again!!!

The amount of emails that this compnay choose to ignore despite information being passed to them on numerous occasions is appaling , god knows what it would be like to make a claim , im totally regreting going with this provider , i have asked wehat the cooling off period is and they choose to ignore this , i will never again go with this company

Had the worst experience with Ladybird Insurance. They outright refused acceptance of my no claims policy on numerous occasions with my previous insurer AFTER I'd paid their deposit and have now charged a whopping cancellation fee for leaving them because of the way they operate.

Cancelled my daughters insurance and charged her £180. She is a single mum. There customer complaints advisor rang me and was so rude I just put the phone down. Avoid this company at all cost

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! £160 to cancel within 14 days cooling off period!!! Hassled constantly!! Unprofessional. Asked for lots of evidence AFTER paying!! Asked for no claim discount proof from previous insurer and sent it and then they still wanted phone confirmation, so what was the point of sending it at all? Not in addition to being continuously hassled with over 5 phone calls from them one morning, (24th January), 3 emails and texts!!!! I would send documentations after recieving threatening emails at night that stated they would cancel my car insurance if I didn’t send it before 14 days. I would ring up customer services to ask why, I am recieving these emails, and all they would do is request more and more documentation. They asked for a bank statement with proof of address, driving licence check codes of me and my mother, V5 and to top it off a no claims discount email from my previous insurers.

Taken out a policy online then advised over the phone something was wrong , amended the policy & inflated the cost to over £800 - £300 above the previous quote yet i could get the insurance at the same price as the original purchase elsewhere. rang & told them i want to cancel the policy after less than 24hrs & complain, was told someone would be in touch but no one ever was & are trying to charge me £140 for less than 24hrs cover. ripp off merchants avoid at all costs.

Honestly the worst customer experience I have ever had with this company. Completely incompetent and shocking customer services. Unable to answer any questions that I had regarding my policy. Did not include commuting on my policy documents. Unclear regarding the documents required. Price quoted differed by >30% when actually getting cover. AVOID!

Bought car insurance for my daughter who lives away - gave information as accurately as I could but knew that she would be contacted to clarify the details - I slightly under estimated the NCD and wasn't aware that she had changed jobs from waitress to cleaner (she's only 19 and in part time education) since I last spoke with her. Upon changing the details, they added about 15% to the quote plus an admin fee (knowing full well that I couldn't be certain that the information I was giving was guaranteed - even though it was based on the last policy I arranged through Confused.com and was the basis for the quote so it can't have been that far out!) and then when I said that i wanted to cancel they are effectively charging me £40+ a day for cancellation charges. When I complained all they said was that it's in the T's & Conditions - as if I was ever going to read them. Naturally nobody mentioned the risk of exorbitant cancellation charges when they were taking my details. It's quite clear that they don't give a damn about their customers or reputation!

Policy was cancelled on me whilst away on holiday.. Apparently the documents I sent was not clear enough to read. Had to set up a new policy! Costing more than the previous quote and set up using the exact same ‘unreadable’ documents I’d sent them in the first place, that I pulled from a previous email I sent them! Terrible!!

Ladybird have been fantastic, everyone i spoke to has been very friendly and very helpful. Had a nightmare getting the correct NCB certificate from previous insurance and they have been very understanding and helpful getting this sorted. Im sure ive been a customer from hell due to not being able to provide the right documents! But they completely understood its not my fault and helped me contact my previous insurance to get it right. Im now assured LadyBird will be a great insurance company for the year ahead. I can’t find anything about this company which can be classed as even good. The staff member I spoke to was so rude when I said I didnt need the things he was trying to make me pay more for. I haven’t got my insurance statements I haven’t even got a insurance quote number for even if I did want to ring and ask questions about. The only thing that I can log into and look at is the companys app which takes the money out my bank. Absolutely awful and would never recommend.

I have been trying to get through to this company for three hours just to make a claim
Spoke to several different people and they have just passed me around from department to department . With the latest stating oh there is no one in front of you it’s been an hour .
