Only Guarantee Is A Rude Awakening
We had a conservatory installed in 04 and since then it has leaked constantly in around 10-20 different places. I got so tired of calling them out that I gave up and just used buckets.
I am currently moving and I thought I'd give them a call to arrange a visit to see if they could fix at least one of the major leaks.
The rude woman I spoke to told me in no uncertain terms that Betterview had gone bust and that my only hope was to call the Window Insurers. She reluctantly gave me their number after I had made my feelings felt and said 'Oh why did I bother'. I the called and they have no records of my conservatory. We now have to pay for this ourselves.
It makes me wonder why I bothered spending £20k with Betterview.
Do not use them.
Tell me about it. Yes, isn't 'that lady' rude? So it wasn't just me. I can't get anywhere with them either. They just say the MD is out of the office at all time, he doesn't have a mobile and doesn't look at his e-mails. And then they wonder why they went.....
£500 Damage To Neighbour's Car
My neighbour witnessed this company's van hit the back of my car causing £500 of damage. After many letters and phone calls from me, my insurance company and solicitors they will still not pay out. I would never recommend such a company to anyone.
Betterview Building Division
Had betterview round to discuss two extensions. I was promised quote and return of plans within 7 days. 7 days came and went no quote, no plans.. after leaving 6 messages with no reply it took a suggestion of me going to their office to get a reaction. To make things worse 2-3 betterview vans working 2 doors down for a period of 2 weeks, so could have easily dropped something through letterbox. If this is first impressions then I would hate to think of their after sales and work ethic. Plans now returned without so much of an apology.... STAY CLEAR !!!! is my opinion.

Betterview, Fantastic Company That Only Deserves 5* Reviews
After many of my family, friends and I all using betterview for extensions, conservatorys, etc I cannot recommend them highly enough. They provide well priced, high quality products alongside polite, helpful staff and VERY TIDY builders - didn't think these existed!
I am very surprised that Betterview have recieved bad reviews below, some of them are very spiteful to read and simply cannot understand that this is the same company we are talking about. Especially since the walls of Betterview's office is covered in thank you letters from hundreds of satisfied customers.
Readers, please do not listen to bad reviews on Betterview they have one of the best reputations in Essex and it would not surprise me if these bad reviews are trying to sabotage their good name.
I would without a doubt use betterview time and time again.

Buyers Beware
Having used this company for all our door/window replacements on our previous home, and having recommended them to many other people, we wanted to use them again. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE. Since being rebranded as Betterview…(Kent), after apparently being placed in administration, they no longer appear to be concerned about customer satisfaction. We wanted all windows and doors replaced on our new home. Betterview unfortunately could not meet our requirements on one of the doors so we wished to cancel this one order but we would have continued with additional orders. As they took so long to confirm this requirement we were out of our 7 day cancellation period and they have ignored all calls and letters to refund the deposit. They have now lost out on several thousand pounds worth of work as we decided to take the rest of our orders elsewhere (thankfully we had not signed up for these). Potential buyers should ensure that any queries are resolved within 7 days of placing your order. If not make sure you cancel in writing.

really pleased with it now we have problems with slipping roof panels
they do not want to know althougth we have a ten year guarantee with
them it does not apply because of them going into administration
we was told we had a cover insurance from Plastic Window Federation
we have covering documentation from Betterview stating this PWF
have no record of us on there database. Why was we not given some
sort of policy from PWF.We would strongly recommend that you have documentation from PWF THAT YOU ARE COVERED IN THE EVENT THAT BETTERVIEW
GO INTO LIUIDATION. We do not know how to get our roof repaired.

I Had French Doors Installed By Betterview Windows
I had french doors installed by Betterview windows doors and conservatories(Kent - as they are now called) in Dec 2008, the doors were problematic within a week, the hinges had dropped the doors wouldn't open without using force to push them. A technician came around and re-adjusted the hinges and left only for the problem to return 4 times over the coming 5 months. The same technician came on each ocassion adjusting the doors, the glass and finally drilled holes into the top and bottom of the doors as they state the problem was caused by heat expansion. The problem still persists, the doors are now compromised as they have rough holes drilled into the frames. I called Betterview and asked to speak to Mr B Noad the MD and was told he would return my call but never did. I was not a happy customer and wrote to Mr Noad and received a letter back stating he was on holiday and would call me on his return. Still Never heard from him - great customer service! I finally had enough, I had paid £1500 for new doors which I could not open during sunlight due to the expansion of the UPVC. I therefore took out a county court claim for Mr Noad to delay the process as much as possible, Mr Noad has made out of court offers to settle offering me £500 or replacement doors by them! No chance - the first ones were meant to have a 10 year guarantee and where has that got me! His offer was only made after I instructed a independant surveyor who has stated the doors are not fit for purpose and are of poor design. The trial is set for the 14 Apr 2010 LEts see what happens.....My recommendation is go elsewhere - Mr Barry Noad you and your firm are cowboys!

Conservatory Installed Almost Six Years Ago, Six M
conservatory installed almost six years ago, six months after starting leak, took betterview almost three years to sort this out, rain water was coming through the tiled floor. found out after we contacted our own suryeor that the front of the conservatory wasnt installed correctly. endless amount of times they dug our conservatory floor up,then blaming our patio level being too high. almost 3 years gone, new leaks from the window in the roof. betterview went into administration in 2009 wouldnt honour their 10 year guarantee, we were told to use the insurance that they gave us with the conservatory, ended up paying £80 excess. wouldnt mind but trading under a new name, at the time of this leak, installing another one down my road but didnt want to know. Quality and service assured dont think so. Through out the whole time of this nightmare they were polite, they paid for the fees we incurred from the suryeor, as a goodwill gesture they painted the walls of the conservatory. I feel there is no one to protect us, trading standards didnt want to know, when a company goes into administration they can wash their hands of you, decline to come out and start trading again, the law is wrong.
