I bought this cooker three years ago and right from the start I was not impressed. The gas rings are too fierce the oven is noisy, the door handle has come lose and I have had to tighten it twice (quite a job), the seals have gone three times and now the thermo stat has gone. The gold rings around the controls are all perished and it looks like it is twenty years old. To be honest I always think that I am cooking on a Fiat - which about sums it up - please don't waste your money!

Their aftersales team and service is the worst I have experienced from a manufacturer. After two months of having this product it brokedown and from that point onwards I have had various contact with their aftersales team. They are bad when it comes to providing customer service. They have been so many problems and despite the oven being under warranty the solution by them was to purchase a new £700 oven from them!!!!! However, one of the most frustrating ongoing problems has been they send out their engineers on the wrong day with no parts to fix the problem. This has happened on several occasions, and despite my calm protests about having to organise a member of my family to wait in all day (as my husband and i work full-time), they are not at all apolgetic or helpful to the situation. Luckily, I have logged all issues with this company and have now put together a detailed letter to a well-known consumer TV show.

had 2 Baumatic BT2710SS with faulty ovens, as soon as you light main oven and then light small oven it the blows main oven. also had 2 delivered damaged. found company not very helpfull. hard work to get it sorted broke down on 6th october and today 10th november and still not orted.

Looks OK (like higher end models) but i guess that they can sell cheaply becuase the build quality is so poor. That said - even with poor build quality - i wouldnt expect the oven door to explode while cooking - luckily no one was in the kitchen, otherwise thy would have been covered in hot glass.

If you dont have the money - and are looking to buy an oven on a budget - this manufacturer isnt a good option.

Yesterday had it on for 20 minutes to bake a quiche on 200 temp and was on the phone when I heard an explosion come from kitchen. The glass had shattered in the oven door so while this may have been a manufacturer blip, not a pleasant experience.
