Very easy at the beginning but very hard over all. Definitely not recommended to those wants everything at once. The study material is okay how ever, I always and still have my blind spots in Accounting. I mean I know what is in my book, but I always aware of something I might not know. It might be part of the course I don`t know. How ever it made me to read University books about Accounting and many other so in general I know a lot more already but still confident with my self. Like I dance on the edge. Anyway I am 100% it will help me with my future studies. I am at level 3 completed my level 2 and willing to complete level 4 with them. Remember this is not a Social Republic. The Home Learning College wants the best out of you! They don`t want you to just pass but bring out the most you are capable of. So unlike other training providers this one make sure you`ll never need to worry in the future. Teachers are there for general questions but not as a baby sitter.

After much searching, I chose home learning college and have not had any regrets. You are advised to create a time plan for your studies before you start so you are organised. The books are broken down in to bite size sections so you learn each part well without being bogged down. The books can also be read as an e-book online. There are plenty of online classes you can view or attend live via live log on. You have to submit and pass several assignments before being allowed to book an exam. This has proved very good as I passed all of my exams without any problem. (Yes, I did have to re-submit assignments several times before getting the thumbs up, so the process works). The fee you pay is the total cost, whereas other providers had exams as an extra cost. Cannot fault Home learning college, and will soon be booking my next course. There are plenty of review questions to take both on the home learning site and via your link to the professional body site. (In my case the AAT).

After deciding upon a career change into childcare I knew that I needed to obtain the NCFE Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce. After researching different online companies I contacted the Home Learning College. Before enrolling I spoke to a very helpful person at HLC who answered all of my questions and talked me through the studying process. Upon payment I quickly received all of my textbooks and guides on how to use the ELC. At the start of the course I must admit I felt overwhelmed with the course content however my tutor was fantastic and was really prompt when answering any questions that I had. As well as using the literature that the HLC provided I also purchased another text book; the combination of them both were extremely helpful. I have two small children and found that this course fitted well around my job and my family life. The best thing about the HLC and the childcare course was definitely my tutor; she was available throughout the year and half that I was studying, and was so helpful and encouraging. I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to further themselves in childcare; I am now qualified and managed to achieve this qualification through the flexibility of the HLC and the help of my tutor.

I first started studying Bookkeeping Manual Level 1 and Sage Computerized Bookkeeping level 2 with the Home Learning College in 2010. I completed both courses and gained 97% distinction in both. I thoroughly enjoyed the courses. I then decided to study for the Manual Level 2 which would mean that once I passed I could practice as a bookkeeper independently. I passed in June this year with 91% distinction. I found from start to finish the response from the Home Learning College excellent, I received all my course material within a couple of weeks and any queries I have I was given the relevant contact details. My tutors were excellent they were available to answer any of my queries. I would submit an email and they would respond the same working day. I found working distance learning a great way of studying. You can study at your own leisure in the comfort of your own home. There is no pressure and I found this really enjoyable. I never once found the courses boring or difficult only quite self explanatory and I would fully recommend the college. I look forward now to starting up my own business.

I enrolled for AAT Level 2. The books arrived immediately and I found them easy to follow (I do work in this field and obviously, this makes a difference). The exam booking procedure works fine - looking at previous reviews. some people seem to book an exam and expect to take it instantly, which seems a little unrelastic to me. I didn't really have much contact with the tutors, but any questions that I asked were always answered. I don't know what the online classrooms are like, as I never used them, but I think that this is a good addition and of course, the AAT website is also a great source for revision etc.

In 2011 I took 2 courses from HLC, ICB Computerized Bookkeeping Level 2, which included Level 1 as well, and Payroll Management Level 3. The material was very clear and tutor support was great, especially when it was made available to send your question to the tutors in general, as my tutor was in no help at all. Luckily she changed the job and other tutor are just great. With their support I was able to finish all these courses in a 1 year time, instead of 2 years. And I passes all 3 exams from the first try. This spring I'm back with HLC, I took another 3 courses for Bookkeeping and after 3 month of study I'm already getting ready for the first exam with ICB. Since a year that I wasn't with them I see that a lot of changes came in and they all are for better. I really enjoying my study with Home Learning. Books are very clear, tutor support is great and it is easy to combine study with work.

I started my course in April 2010 and was a bit unsure as to whether or not I done the right thing, but after only a few days of learning my preferred choice in study, I knew I HAD done the right thing! It was so easy to study at times that suited me, the support I received from all concerned was second to none. I felt as if I had gotten to know the tutors personally and was quite sad when my course came to an end. I have loved every single minute of it and would highly recommend anyone who is thinking about taking up a course to use H.L.C.

I started the course at the beginning of May '13 and have just passed my level 1 bookkeeping exam..it's been real lovely to be able to study at my own pace with putting in as many hours as I can and taking time off if I need it...I found the tutors are there for support when I need them and promptly reply to my emails..now about 8 weeks into the course I am about to start level 2 and really looking forward to it. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to study at home with the knowledge that they wouldn't have to take several months learning at a conventional college for a few hours a week when they can put it their learning around everyday duties and therefore learn and complete the courses far quicker by putting in more hours......you only get out if this what you are prepared to put in...

I started my course in February of this year (2013) and five months later, I have almost completed all three levels of this course. The beauty of Home Learning College is that you are in control of your learning and can structure your time over weeks, creating a timetable to suit you or you can complete over a quicker period of time to fit in with career goals. I personally, find it easier to complete a minimum of two hours study per day, as I feel I can better retain information and get to grips with the course criteria. This also fits in perfectly with Home Learning College community website as you can gain access at any time to contact peers for course questions or downtime socialising. The tutors are extremely helpful - nothing is too much trouble and there is no such thing as a silly question (believe me, I know!) My only regret is that I did not do this years ago! It has given me the confidence to believe that I am capable to learning more and that a 20 year gap between leaving Sixth Form and embarking on new skills is not an obstacle to achieving personal goals or career advancement. I would recommend Home Learning College if you are looking for a course to fit in around current work commitments, childcare and a busy life in general.

I have had an amazing experience with HLC. Tutor support within hours, brilliant course material, very straight forward. I was very surprised to see the bad comments as I have had no experiences which are negative. My assessments have been marked quickly and tutors very supportive. The online lessons are brilliant and if you don't get it the first time they are always there to go back and look at. Money well spent!!

I would highly recommend HLC to anyone. The tutors are all really helpful and encouraging and come back to you promptly if you have a query. It's great being able to learn at your own pace - you can work hard one week and then, if you're busy, leave it for a week or so. I haven't attended any of the live classes, as I am happy working on my own, but am sure that they must be great for support. Taking the first exam was very straightforward and I'm looking forward to the next!

I have just finished my business management course and must say I had all the support I needed, my tutor was there when I needed and he was happy to look at my assignment prior to marking, The sales team were there to help with the payments as I needed to delay them. I would recommend them and if anyone has issue they should ring the customer support team.

I booked my course a few months ago (Introductory to marketing) and I have to say the sales team were great. They were not pushy and gave me time to think about my options and the course. The books received for the course are easy to read through and work through the modules. You can fit the course around other commitments and the tutors are not pushy for completing work. You do it in your own time. I am looking forward to continuing my learning with the home learning college.

Great learning opportunity, professional service and support. I completed my Business Management course and I received a great support from my tutor. The content of the course were very informative, compact, detailed, clear, and easy to follow. The assignment feedback was very helpful and I have learned a lot from this course. I highly recommend Home Learning College to everybody. Once again, thank you!

I completed my studies despite having a little child and a maternity leave within the course of study. Sincerely speaking there is a wide range of courses to choose from. I did most things online including submission of assignments, getting the results for my exams at the right time and even meeting my lecturers. I highly recommend home learning college to everybody including nursing mothers, I got a distinction and I'm so happy!

This course worked form me. Yes it was a wee bit expensive but that was said up front when I spoke with them on the phone BEFORE I BOOKED AND PAID. I studied criminology because I wanted to build on previous study. I was told how long I had to do the course but I did it quicker because I set my own pace and I was committed to my own timeframes. The research I carried out changed my own perception of the town I live in and indeed it changed my understanmding of crime in Scotland despite the fact that much of the statistics are relative to England and Wales. I went off and got stats about Scotland. Studying the elements of Human trafficking was emotionally consuming but only because I got right into it. It was a learning opportunity for me I never set out to 'tick a box'. Paying for learning can be expensive so you need to be selective. HLC does what it says on the tin as far I am I am concerned.

My experience with the HLC was fantastic !! The payment was easy and the Admin Staff were lovely when dealing with any queries I had. I was worried at first, as I thought I would struggle with it being home studying but the course materials were all understandable and the tutors were an email away. My emails always had a response within 24hours which was good. The HLC Virtual Learning Online was easy to use and submit work and the forums were a really good way of solving any questions you had on assignments as people were friendly and helped you out. Feedback was very constructive and helped me to improve my next assignment. Overall, I would defiantly reccommend it to anyone as I did this course after having a baby and it was completly manageable as it wasn't too time consuming. After completing my Teaching Assistant course and working within a school, I have now started a Primary Teaching degree !! You can do it if I did.
