Clough End Kennels, Hattersley, Greater Manchester

First let me say the owner is HORRIBLE! The service is poor at best and I would never send any animals to them again!

my dog went in for 2 weeks he had never been in kennels before and we were very worried if he'd be ok.

Staff assured us they were capable of looking after him but that was not the case.

when we picked him up he'd lost loads of weight and was very dehydrated, he also had a cut on his lip and a cut on his elbow.

After talking to other people regarding these kennels was told that staff take water away from dogs and no water was left in kennels. Never again would i use these kennels.

Fantastic environment, large grounds and staff that truly care about animals. The love and attention is amazing and after 12 years of using the kennels I would go no where else. I recommend them to everyone!

I book my Mums little white westie, Bonnie, into Clough End every time we go on holiday and I must admit that this is at least 4-5 times a year. Sometimes for a few days, sometimes for 2-3 weeks at a time.

Bonnie has been going to Clough End for around 6 years now and she absolutely loves it! Her little tail wags like crazy in the car when she realises where she is going to!

She has lots and lots of friends here. the manager is so warm and welcoming and always gives big kisses to Bonnie when she arrives even before she says hello to us! Which to be honest, is exactly the way you want it to be.

Bonnie only has little legs but loves going for walkies and at Clough End they take her out at least 5 times a day walking around the paddock. She loves rolling in the mud and getting dirty, not that we would know if we hadn't seen her doing it because she always makes sure she has had a wash n blow dry before we arrive to fetch her home!

I cannot recommend this Doggie Hotel enough. It is fantastic, friendly, marvellous and just oh so good that I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it to the Queens Corgi's!

My two Weimaraners have stayed here a few times now, ranging from 2 nights up to 10. We travel from Newcastle upon Tyne and will not leave them anywhere else! We simply cannot find anywhere on par with this place nearer home. On the recommendation from my mum who brought her beagle here regularly for years, we didn't worry in the slightest leaving them with the fabulous staff. They are so friendly and caring and actually get to know your pet, instead of only wanting to take your money. I have tried various kennels and dog sitters and my girls have never been as happy as when we pick them up from Clough End. They are let out in a huge area 5 times a day and walked, and then they get cuddle time (which is very much what they crave to make them feel at home). I can't thank Sheryl and her staff enough!

I've left my 2 basenjis at Clough End for the last 7yrs and have always been extremely satisfied. I viewed many kennels before a friend recommended Clough End and consider Clough End to be the best kennels in the area. The kennels are spotlessly clean, the dogs have a fantastic run area and are let out of the kennel several times per day.The staff are knowledgeable and caring. My dogs are an unusual breed and the staff took the time to get to know their sometimes strange behavior and habits. Also when my dog Theo was ill, they took my other dog Luca into the kennel with only a days notice, whilst Theo had investigations and subsequent treatment. I always ring up part way through my holiday and the staff give me a full report. I am completely confident in leaving my dogs at Clough End because my dogs always appear happy and contented when I pick them up. Thank you Clough End staff.

I have used Clough End kennels a few times and have always been more than happy with the level of service. Our two dogs who are a bichon and a westie love going to these kennels and we as a family can enjoy our holidays knowing our dogs are enjoying theirs. It is obvious the staff genuinely care for the dogs they look after, in the feedback they give when you pick your dog up, it was clear the staff had spent time with our dogs and really knew and understood them. I would highly recommend these kennels, the price is fair and you can even throw in a bath at the end of the stay so your doggy is all nice and fresh.Thank you to all at Clough End Kennels keep up the good work, see you soon for our next holidays.

We have used the kennels for many years and have been more than satisfied with their expertise in caring for our pet. They have given more than 100% and have always been professional in their care yet given our pet love and attention .. I have over the years highly recomended them to friends and family. Unfortunately we lost our pet recently and they sent me a lovely poem which has helped enourmousley,. I will when we have another pet use these excellent facilities again. A big thank you to them for being so caring over the years.

Our little westie girl has been going to these kennels for over 5 years now. We go away about 4 times a year and and we have always left her in the capable hands of the staff at Clough End Kennels. We have just today picked her up from a week long stay and she was happy, clean and content. She does like to get dirty though and roll in the cinder path when out for her walks but she gets a good shampooing before we collect her. She loves her walks and here she gets walked about 4 times a day so no wonder she likes it.

The price is not the most expensive but it is not the cheapest either. We provide our own food for her and pay the same as if the kennels provides it but that is our choice and as long as she is happy when we are away then we don't mind.

We would recommend this place but don't just take our word for it go along, meet the staff and see for yourself.
