Everywhere I shopped for this product I was told "You may like the product but you will HATE the service if you need it" If it is anything like their rebate program They were right. I purchased about New years 2009 and am still waiting for the rebate. I did get a note saying that they needed more paperwork even though I sent ALL the papers I got including the rebate form that told what to send. Maybe some day but it doesn't look promising.

“My LG 7780 CER vacuum cleaner was constantly...”

My LG 7780 CER vacuum cleaner was constantly overheating and switching off. The inner foam filter collapsed, allowing dirt to contaminate the motor bearings, which seized up. This product was only used as a secondary cleaner, and its performance can only be described as abysmal. At around £100, it was a complete waste of money. It is now in the trash bin as the motor seized.

What more can I say? ... Can I have my money back please LG?

“The filter on this cleaner clogs up after cleaning...”

★★☆☆☆

written by vfrntv on 02/03/2007

The filter on this cleaner clogs up after cleaning three small rooms. Suction immediately decreases to almost nil. It then takes 15 minutes to clean the filter with a brush. After about three cleanings the sponge in the filter has to be washed and dried, putting the cleaner out of service for the rest of the day. This one fault renders an otherwise efficient cleaner to be completely useless due to the inconvenience of constantly cleaning the filter. It seems that LG have designed and manufactured the cleaner but have not actually tested it in a normal environment.
It would have helped if a spare sponge insert had been supplied to enable cleaning to continue whilst the filter is drying. I raised this point with the LG service centre but they were not interested and referred me to the retailer - Comet.

I agree, this cleaners filter clogs very quickly.
Washable foam filter poorly designed, it collapses and blocks airways of the vacuum cleaner.
There are alternative paper filters available but they need constant replacement because they also clog quickly.
This Vacuum cleaner is not recommended, due its poor filter design.
