Toyota 21 DES

I think this is quite a good sewing machine. Good for beginners or those who want to do simple projects. My machine has been my main one for over 3 years now and I can't fault it at all, it's brilliant and most of all EASY to use.

Good value for money, not worth £300+ but around £100 ish is about right.

It has lots of stich settings on it and even an overlocking stitch which has been quite useful for the clothes I've made. It pays to but decent needles and read the manual (yeah I know that's stating the obvious but some people don't) Mine has an automatic needle threader which is GREAT! It also has a spool winder which is really useful and easy.

Well, 1 good review for it, I give it 10/10 as I've use it to death and it's been a godsend to me!

all in all, i would say the toyota sewing machine is not a top of the range one and let not really basic. need to shop around for a good price as they can vary.

I used my Toyota 21 DES for 30 minutes on plain cotton, and the needle broke twice. The presser foot was lightweight and flimsy. This machine is available for £89 on certain websites (home-sewing.com) so not sure why its being advertised on other sites as a £349 machine when it clearly isn't of that standard.
