When pulling a trailer uphill the truck goes into a low gear, this is ok until you get to the top of the hill. The truck then wants to stay in that low gear,it wont shift up just revs its nuts off. It seems you have to almost stop for the truck to pisk up as normal. This drives me mad, i wish i had bought a manual instead.Does anybodt know how to sort this problem.

Only owned this L200 2.5 diesel for 3 months. Purchased from a local 4x4 dealer which is a part of a larger dealership in Norwich. With only 47000 on the clock I was hopeing this will last me for many years. Since owning it it has been back to have the Air Con serviced and has just had a new Head Gasket fitted. The gear change often feels very notchy and I am hopeing that I will have to fork out for a new clutch in the very near future. Battery failed today which is a non standard Mitsubushi fitted one which indicates that it may be its 2nd or 3rd from new already, will fit a Yuasa tomorrow at £90. In general gives a good ride with a quite a good fuel consumption. Will not be towing very often and then a maximum of 1000kgs folding camper. Hope it will last for many years to come.

Vehicle was used for light use occasionally towed a caravan broke 2rear springs and now crankshaft has broken in 2 and wrecked the block it was always treated 1st class .the tyres lasted years though,oh but I had to have a clutch fitted at 70,000
Miles. Was good off road even with road tyres I only got stuck once and managed to push it out.the truckman top always leaked water and the cable would ways snap on the latch. The airconditiong has a leak And doesn't work anymore .after all that I still can't think of a better vehicle for what I need do with one. I am miffed about the crank breaking as that just shouldn't happen.

bought my mitsubishi l200 ten months ago,had a small problem with the egr valve in the first month, took it to main dealers three times, they couldent find the fault, eventualy it rectified itself, then a few months later the belts went slack, mitz assist put it right, now i have just got it back after three weeks in the main dealers, for a overheating fault, luckily was covered by the warrenty, new cylinder head,radiator...etc £2,000+,at least its guarenteed for two years, unlimited miles, bit of peice of mind.

The Mitsubishi L200 is a good truck but a bit heavy on diesel and many suffer from diesel pump problems which is fine if under warranty but could be expensive otherwise.

I agree with this review because... this is exactly what problems I have had in 12 month of ownership, smokes worse than an oilfield, had new turbo, new filters and much more, just spent £1200 on it 3 weeks ago, broke down last night, injector problem, was a wealthy man before I bought this garbage, looks nice though.

Worst pick up truck i have ever bought, heavy on fuel and smokes like a train , only had my L200 for 5 months and already has had filters, actuator, egr, turbo, injectors, injector pump and is still going like a broken clock. Even a Mitsubishi garage I had it in inspected the fault and said it was the gate valve on the turbo which is not the case and I still have an L200 that I'm stuck with that I can't get repaired. Worst buy ever.
