Harrington & Hallworth

Took Omega watch in for estimate for service. Was told back in a week, took 4 weeks. Could not believe that it was damaged on return, large gouge and two dints in gold case, been forced open to access the back. Took it back and was spoken to by a woman who came from the back of the shop aggressively and patronising, said damage was not new, I had taken it to another jeweller first to ask if it was new damage was told definitely it was. They were quite happy to say I was lying. I walked out, now I have my very sentimental watch damaged . I will never go into that shop again and suggest that you do not get anything of any value or sentiment repaired there. AVOID .

Ripped Off

Had two watch batteries fitted they charged £20 for one and £10 for the second watch when I disputed the price they told me that they had also checked the seal but said both seals were ok. First of all it was never pointed out to me that there would be a "Seal Check" or a charge for a "Seal Check" and secondly I find it strange that the £20 charge was for the cheaper watch and £10 for the more expensive watch. £30 TO FIT 2 WATCH BATTERIES BE WARNED!

Myself and my husband have bought many items from Harrington and Hallworth and have always found that the jewellery they stock is of excellent quality.

Before I first started to shop at Harrington and Hallworths I always thought that the shop looked like it would be exceptionally expensive, but that is not the case.

They have a wide range of stock with a wide range of prices and I think that most people would find something to suit their style and pocket.

My husband bought my eternity ring from here and I love it, it is very individual and fits my engagement and wedding ring perfectly.

I have always found that staff at Harrington and Hallworths approachable, friendly and professional, I once went in to purchase a pair of earings for my mum and asked whilst I was there about my eternity ring being cleaned (as any item you buy from them, they will clean free of charge), not only did the lady clean it there and then but she also gave my engagement ring and wedding ring a quick clean as well.

The only problem is there are not very many Harrington and Hallworth stores, the only ones I know of are in Wilmslow and Ashton-Under-Lyne.
