Puerto Del Carmen, Flora Apartments

Me and my boyfriend went as a birthday presant for me. It was a last minute deal and what we got was worth the amount that we paid. The apartment itself was fantastic, I didnt expect it to be as good as it was especially for a 3* hotel. The pool and entertainment was great, but as we stayed for 2weeks it repeated itself. The only problem we had was the food was repeated too but the food was good and like i say, worth the money we paid. We paid 498 each all inc! Nightlife is great and bars/restaurants are great too. Go to the Purple Turtle which is two mins down the road, homemade food, 1.50 for a large San Miguel and fantastic staff. Great hol defo go again!

Food . Excellent could not find a fault with it fresh and a good variety,,

Staff . Friendly polite and very helpful.

Accommodation .Cleaned regular fresh towels and bedding every 2cnd day

Kids Club. Michael,layla friendly and kept the 10 and 11 yr old happy ..

would go back found the holiday and flora excellent the hill it is on never caused us a problem the tunnel we used as we where in the quieter end away from the bar etc this was well lit and clean..

Im not going to write a big letter, but all i want to say is -

The Flora Apartments hotel is the most discusting place ive ever been to. It's grubby, they don't have much food on display, mostly chicken nuggets & chips which was dreadful! i wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone! never again will i return, the rooms are horrible,we were only there 15 mins & cockcroaches in the bathroom, it was like a nightmare, holiday from hell! To anybody reading this i deffinitly wouldn't recommend you to go, its a waste of a lot of money on a horrible hotel!

please don't go, because it ruined our holiday completely. Ive been to loads of hotels in Lanzarote & all over the world, and in my life i've never came across a hotel like this.

I would never go to this place again in my future.

Great week, although could do with new sheets and pillows....grubby looking which was off putting. Flora Apartments have a great pool area and quiet location.

Flora Apartments in Puerto Del Carmen was was clean and the staff were really friendly.

The entertainment for the children was fantastic.

This complex is just about perfect for a cheap family holiday in Lanzarote.

Really enjoyed this holiday and would definitely go back again.

Myself, my partner and my son stayed at Flora Apartments for 2 weeks, Jul 2008. Our apartment was clean and ideal for our needs. We went self catering but decided to go half board after a week as it was only 11 euros an adult and half price for children. The food was good and there was plenty of choice to suit all tastes. We had read reviews before we left, but I can honestly say that we never experienced any problems and had a wonderful holiday. Prices in Lanzarote are expensive so do take lots of money if you want to do the tours. I wouldn't take a trip on the ocean cat, we found it a total waste of 54 euros an adult and the watersports are seperate from the trip. Do visit Puerto Calero, Do go to the National Park, Do visit the Teguise market.

Had a great week in the Flora apartments, myself and hubby looking forward to our return on this month for another week, staff were excellent. Very obliging, really enjoyed our stay at the Flora wouldn't return if we hadn't and will be returning on may 26th 08 .

Flora Apartments, Puerto Del Carmen in was the most enjoyable holiday I've ever been on. I'd defenately go back there!!!!

If you want a relaxing stress free holiday then don't go to the Flora Apartments in Lanzarote. Lanzarote is great, but the hotel isn't, although the food was nice and the entertainment staff were friendly. On our first night we had 5 different rooms because they kept giving us other peoples room keys. In our final room we had no kettle, hot water and a broken light.

Booked a fairly last minute week away to lanzarote and so opted for a cheap deal rather than anything else! Because we managed to get a good deal, we weren't expecting to live in the lap of luxury for a week.

However, on arrival at the flora apartments, we were given our room key to one of the studios in the complex across the road. I think it was the furthest away but it was right at the poolside, which was ideal!

The studios were pretty basic, but immaculate...so no complaints there!

The maids were great and the rooms were cleaned 5-6 times during our weeks stay. The kitchen had everything we needed really, from a microwave to a toaster, which meant we could easily cook the odd snack if we couldn't be bothered moving from the poolside!

We went self catering and so can't comment on the standard of the food, however, the snack bar was great and the food was reasonably priced.

The only complaint I had about the Flora apartments was that they were so far away from the New Town where we spent most of our nights, and the pool was freezing!!!

Centro in the New Town is full of great pubs and clubs, but the drink is very expensive...so get tanked up before you go!!

The purple turtle was good for food and also live entertainment....Paula Yates in particular was excellent!

But I strongly recommend Jinty McGintys just down the hill. It's an Irish pub with lovely Scottish owners who do fantastic Scottish, English and Irish breakfasts which are great hangover cures! Believe me!! It's also worth noting that they do a great cocktail called "fat frog" which I tended to indulge in almost every night on my way down the hill.

Although we went to Lanzarote at the end of Jan in to Feb, the weather was fabulous and not a spot of rain the whole time!

So, hope you all have a fabulous time if you consider going to the Flora and if you don't mind a long walk to the best entertainment, these apartments are ideal.
