“incomplete order”

I ordered two AR Drone quadricopters and two additinoal batteries. I received the two quadricopters on time, but no additional batteries. When I contacted customer service by telephone, I was told that I would have to write an additional email explaining the problem. This annoyed me. I had already been inconvenienced with an incomplete order. I know that mistakes can happen and was happy to get the problem sorted by telephone. However, when I then had to write an email with an explanation of the problem, it all became too much of a hassle. This unfortunate problem has happened to me before with other companies and i know that it is sometimes unavoidable, but their customer service departments were much better and I was able to solve the problem by a simple phone call. I have had to spend far more time rectifying a mistake that has nothing to do with me than I want.

“Waste of two weeks”

“HTC HD7 purchase”

I rang the sales line as I needed the phone, an HTC HD7, urgently. The call was answered quickly, the guy was efficient and listened to my request. I was told the item was in stock and would be with me the following Tuesday or Wednesday "at the latest". Tuesday night I logged on to the website to find it was still in processing. I rang customer services Wednesday morning, it was going to picked up by the courier that day, I spoke about broken promises and it fell on deaf ears. The girl was just going to repeat the spiel in front of her till doomsday. Result - they tried to deliver on the Thursday when no-one was in to take delivery, redelivered on the Friday. Some of you would say 5 working days is OK, but not when you are led into a sale by cheap promises. The phone is an import with a cheap 2 pin adapter included, lets hope it doesn't go wrong and I have to brave their customer services again. Use this site if you aren't in too much of a rush and are aware that it may be a grey import.

I ordered an HTC Desire HD(Black) over a week ago and it still hasnt been delivered. The customer service advisor told there's some issues with their logistics. I'm having very serious doubts regarding the quality of the product I'm going to get. They charged 5 pounds for the delivery and promised a 2-5 day timeframe...

Just don't believe 'in stock means in stock'. After not receiving 3 Brand New Wii remotes for a few weeks, contacted them to be told they were now out of stock - which they hadn't bothered to update me. Weeks on, eventually told they would be new but unboxed. Cancelled order which they did at least refund to card promptly. Responded to email enquiries promptly too.

“Let down ”

Let down

You might see the negative reviews, outweigh them against the positive ones and decide, "Chances are it won't happen to me." That's what I thought too, and unfortunately the gamble didn't pay off.

I needed an item urgently and, just to be assured it would be dispatched immediately, telephoned and spoke to a sales assistant several times before I placed the order. I was assured that the item was in stock and it would be dispatched immediately to reach me by the end of the week. On the Friday, I checked the order's status and it was still in 'Processing.' I was told that nothing more could be done as it was the weekend, and on the Monday heard back from customer services advising me that, "I can confirm your order has been received and is progressing through our system as normal. Please note that delivery may take 2-5 working days. We will contact you again once the order is shipped and provide you with the tracking information and courier web link to allow you to check the delivery status via the courier's respective website as well."

This was no help at all, and I replied that, because of the delay, there has been a further 2-5 days for dispatch added onto the original 2-5 days for delivery. I was informed that there was a delay with my order "due to a backlog in dispatching orders therefore affecting our standard dispatch timeframes." The advisor, who herself was as helpful as she could be, said they would upgrade my delivery so that it reached me the day after it was sent.

I've mentioned before that I needed it urgently; this is because I was leaving the address to which it was being delivered, a full 10 days after I placed the order. As it turned out, the item didn't reach me before I left.

The customer services advisor was polite and apologetic, and she did what she could to hurry my order along, but her apologies weren't any consolation. As I told her, if I'd realised how long it would take I would have just purchased it from another retailer.

“The price of the Nokia N900 phone was the cheapest by...”

The price of the Nokia N900 phone was the cheapest by far and arrived in a week. The Nokia seal was broken and another 'security seal' (a sticky tape with security seal printed on) was placed over the top. The mains adapter looked like a US type and a non Nokia mains adapter was included in the box. I am not happy overall and have asked for a full refund in accordance with Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

“Ordered the product 8 days ago, they took the money...”

Ordered the product 8 days ago, they took the money out straight away. The product was still being processed after 7 days, when the website clearly states they aim to deliver within 2-5 working days. Contacted them via email asking where the product was. They apologized and said

"This is a very highly sought-after item we are trying our best to fulfil all orders in time, we expect the product to be dispatched today, the latest tomorrow for a arrival at your end on the same week."

The product is now "awaiting courier pick up" after 8 days, and is expected to be with me by the end of the week. I am very disappointed as this was intended to be a birthday present which is today.

I will not be using Purely Gadgets www.purelygadgets.co.uk again.
