“NZD 3,500 deposit fully deducted no refund after 12 days”

Scotties needs badly some investment into office infrastructure and staff; as is, only backpackers standard. In particular frustrated to note after lease that the said blocking of the NZD 3,500 deposit has been in fact a full deduction. 12 days after return of vehicle (no complaints or damages)no refund, no communication. “Difficult”

We found Scotties with a web trawleafter and chose an airport presence option. After it was booked we received an email telling us this was not the case. We went through the process of filling in a secure form for an 'after hours' pickup from a local motel, and followed up with phone calls. Unfortunately when we turned up (after midnight) no vehicle had been left for us. We tried the phone number but, as it is only manned from 6am-6pm that did not help. Every night of the year we leave cars for people after hours as many planes arrive after midnight. We have a after hours number for the rare occasion it goes wrong and as in this case we gave them a car to get to their accommodation for the night

“Disappointing”

Booked through an online vendor for meet and greet which Scotties understand as telephone us anyway and then walk out to the car park and wait to get picked up! Many of us travelling understand meet and greet to be someone with a plaque with your name waiting outside customs. Got to the rental office and someone was already there complaning about the 0800 number not working many times though for us it had first time. Yes we did have a problem with our phone thanks to our provider. These things happen.

We are just 7 minutes away from the airport.

All rental car companies offer extra insurance and we have no idea if the customer has bought insurance with another party. This is between them and the other party.

We always take photos of the car and if we make a mistake we right it.
