My Wife Had Two Previous Yaris, The Last Was A Ver
My wife had two previous Yaris, the last was a verso the strange looking one, which she loved. But the lastest one is a bit of a let down as the auto box or Optimal drive as Toyota call it is a pain at low speeds, ie changing from first to second it often labours and does not seem to know what to do. In all the other gears it`s fine, in actual fact on a motoraway its actually very good for what is obiously meant as a city car. We`ve just returned from Munich and it easily kept up with most of the traffic (well, lets not mention the Porches Mercs`and Beemers)on the Autobahns, allbiet at hight revs than I`d nornally be happier with. It averaged fifty one to the gallon at speeds of about 90 mph so I thinks we had the last laught when it came to filling up.
Inside it seems they`ve cut corners slightly on the quality of the plastic but overall it`s not bad enough to grate when driving.
So for what my wife use it for most of the time, which is lccal journeys.
it`s quite a nice car. Just that irritating gearbox!!!!
