“I've just received this camera and am very pleased...”

★★★★☆

written by cactusdave on 01/02/2007

I've just received this camera and am very pleased with the test shots. It's easy to use, with a valuable "idiot-proof" mode and the paper manual is comprehensive and well written. The camera feels comfortable in the hand, but is a lttle flimsy and plasticky in build. It's very easy to get finger marks all over the large LCD. Picture quality is good, but be advised, set the anti- camera shake image stabilisation to mode 2 all the time. It makes a dramatic difference to picture sharpness and really does enable sharp handheld pictures at shutter speeds as low as 1/20th sec. It's worth the money by itself to anyone with less than totally steady hands. Buy a set of powerful rechargeable NiMH batteries 2000mAh or more and a charger as throw aways don't last long. Overall excellent value for money at under £100 and the anti-shake is a real eye-opener.
