Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDiS 5dr

This car is a well spec'ed car for the money. I brought the car for two reasons one to tow our caravan and two for a safe and relaxing drive. I can say it does both very well, I spent a long time searching review on all the manufactures but kept finding once I found one with the spec I wanted it was well out of my price range or high mileage. I do feel the reviews that are on the web do not do justice to what this car is like. There are reviews about the particular filters blocking up this will not happen if you drive your car ones a week down a due carriage/motorway for 30mins. The issue is not with the design car manufactures are being forced by Brussels and other bodies to reduce their carbon foot print. Driving experience has been really good it might not be as refined as more expensive makes but it takes any driving condition in its stride and fuel economy is good. I have never had to use the lock diff mode as the car in normal 4x4 mode goes anyway I point it. As for towing it does it with ease and pulls up hills like a train.

Great little 4x4 really good off road. Followed a mate in a 4x4 Nissan Terrano that was built for off roading and in very muddy soft ground I went everywhere he did with road tyres on and nobody could beleive it. My biggest problem was ground clearance. I was into the axles and the bottom of my vitara was scobing on the ground where his wasn't and it sounded scary at times. I really wish there was some way of lifting the suspension at least 1.5 to 2 inches it would make all the differance. Plus if I had of known that the choice of tyres were so limited and expensive for the big 17'' rims and no mods available for off roading I would have cosidered buying something else. But as far as on road it's great every bit as good as any car and will always get you home in really bad weather, should it be heavy rain ice or heavy snow it's effortless to this 4x4 for the money it's well worth a try.

The Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDiS 5dr is an excellent little 4x4, great value for money, excellent mileage per gallon, soft off road capabilities enough for a bit of fun but not a serious contender for real off road challenge!

Would definetly buy a suzuki again. We bought our Suzuki Grand Vitara new for the 1st time and are very impressed with the vehicle comfortable and light to drive, excellent aftersales service and plenty of space.
