I paid for a premium letting package. Problem 1) I was told on the phone before I purchased that a local agent would keep hold of the house keys. Instead, they installed a key safe at the property WITHOUT my consent and left the keys in there.

Problem 2) They didn't communicate properly with the tenants about my guarantor requirement. When I challenged my agent, she started making things up which were untrue.

Problem 3) The advertised that they would provide a "professional tenancy agreement". It turned out the agreement was a FREE DIY template from National Landlords Association. This is clearly misleading as anyone can download that template online and a DIY template is anything BUT professional. It does not serve the purpose whatsoever as there is no wording about guarantor in that template.

Problem 4) They stated on the website "Once we've made sure you've got the perfect people, we'll organise for the signing of the contract to take place and explain all of the terms and conditions. Our excellent service means that you can confidently leave it all to us when putting your property to rent on the market." It turned out that they would only arrange the landlord and the tenants to meet and sign the agreement. In reality, they only ask the landlord and the tenants to sort it out ourselves as they have given us our contact numbers. This is completely different from what they advertised. I can clearly NOT just "leave it all" to them!!

I made an official complaint but was denied by the manager. I had to open a case with Paypal and got 25% refund.

we had our house for sale with them for months,money up front of course...all we really got was a couple of weekly e mails with statistics on,as far as selling the house went,we had to revert to a high st agent. I wouldnt reccomend - a fair bit of money for nothing really.

A very efficient and friendly service - the online portal works and is pro active in promoting actions necessary to a smooth process. Good co ordination between sales and legal.

We just had a great experience using the Housenetwork. It was our first time using an online estate agent and we would not hesitate to use them again. The staff were efficient at all times, friendly yet professional and always made us feel like ours was the only case they were dealing with. If we had a query it was always dealt with promptly and we were kept informed at all times. I would highly recommend them.

I have used Housenetwork 3 times and I am still very impressed with their service. They are so much better than a normal High Street agent (open longer hours, constantly update you and email updates) and much better value for money. The staff are very helpful and friendly and always kept me updated. I have already recommended them to friends.

Sold within 2 weeks!

I found the service to be really quick an efficient. I would always know immediately when somebody wanted to view the property and was able to easily get them all booked in around times to suit me. I knew I could always call in to speak to someone directly and the response times to queries on-line were fantastic. All in all it was a really helpful, professional service that I would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic professional and efficient experience with a sale agreed in 3 days. Even once the sale was agreed our dedicated advisor kept on top of the process every step of the way keeping us informed with weekly catch up calls at a time convenient for us. The fixed fee saved a considerable sum against quotes from high street agents of between 0.9% and 1% plus VAT and we received a further discount on the £599 fixed fee as we were introduced by friends who had used the service too. We would never have considered an internet agent without hearing the experience of our friends and we are so pleased we used this option. They did everything we expected a high street agent would do with an exceptional level of service for a fraction of the cost.

I had never used an online Estate agency before, so I was a bit worried about how it all worked. However from start to finish House Network were absolutely brilliant. Previously I had the property on with a normal estate agent and we got hardly any viewings. Within 3 weeks with House Network we got loads of viewings and the house was sold for a great price. At every step of way House Network provided excellent support and communication. I got plenty of notice for each viewing and feedback afterwards. I cannot recommend them more highly and I will never be using a high street estate agent again!

We have just sold our house though the Housenetwork and they have been fantastic. I would definitely recommend them to people. They saved us tens of thousands of pounds and were highly professional. The photos they took of our house were brilliant, they answered the phone promptly and dealt with queries quickly and efficiently. Never going to use a high street estate again!!
