This company is a complete joke. I get cut off from the internet several times a day. I'm sure Karoo must be run by a set of Amateurs. They do have a monopoly on internet service for Hull and the area around, they deliberately over price line rental to other ISP providers to keep exclusivity-there aught to be a law against that. When I ring to complain they blame my computer or extension cables or the modem. Well, they have provided the new modem as part of the new deal-phone calls and internet combined.

“Awful internet connection”

Awful internet connection in Elloughton. I wonder if they are hoping we sign up to lightstream. Our line keeps dropping out and I have contacted Karoo several times. The staff are always helpful and suggest changing channels but this only works for a time and then the same old problems re-occur. This is a shame because it would be great to be able to write a good review about a good service.

Slow Broadband for the money and once again lagging behind the Competition, that's because there is No Competition which means NO Choice of any other broadband company ISP if you live in the karoo area. This is not my opinion it's a fact!

I had broadband with Karoo last year, and the speed, customer service and reliability are among the worst I've ever tried. The trouble is, if you live in Hull, you're stuck with it, since it's the only place that doesn't use BT lines.

Trying to get through to a human being on the customer support line is a painful experience, and you should expect to be on the phone for a long time before someone deals with your query. Overall, not a good experience.

I feel really disloyal giving karoo a low rating cos i like to support local businesses, however, the speed to log on in my area defies belief, anything up to 9 minutes is a regular occurance !!! No where else in the uk would put up with it !! For almost £20 per month i expected so much more.

“I would like to have a choice of provider or at least...”

I would like to have a choice of provider or at least get half the speed I pay for 1.1mbps on a so called 8mbps connection. 1 on the BBC news comments after the test according to the map lives just around the corner and claimed she/he was getting 3.6mbps.
