A fantastic reel; the price is a bonus. Keen price, nice feel, weight, fantastic drag; had no trouble at all dealing with 75 cm pls barra and large Jacks day after day. Easy to fine tune drag and mag brake easy to use.

In places looks a little cheaply finished compared to big buck opposition but this isn't noticed when the barra are hitting

The handle rod with the two handles... the piece of aluminum that the two handles are attached to... with the 3 holes on each side... is kinda weak... im assuming its because its aluminum... i had the black max and wanted to upgrade... so i purchased the stx hs... but came across the same problem... not a major bad point... but its gets a lil annoying... it might be from the 18 pound braid that i use... as in a strong line with the drag set pretty tight... at around 15 pounds... but its from the heavy cover i have to fish them out of... but the constant fight with 6+ lbs fish everyday takes its toll... i wonder if they make a handle with harder metal... or maybe even titanium... mmm.... that would be the best upgrade abu can possibly do for this reel... ^_^

I paid $200 from Basspro for my Revo STX-HS and consider it the best bass reel in its price range or above it up to $350. The Shimano Core is closest competition.
