We Were Incredibly Disappointed With Matt Seuss Ph

We were incredibly disappointed with Matt Seuss Photography. There were so many costs that "emerged" after the wedding that were unforeseen that we couldn't afford to get any of our pictures! This was AFTER we paid $3000.... which was apparently just the cost for Matt Seuss Photography showing up...?!

To address "cape monkey's" negative review, I would like to mention the following to set the record straight:

First, I was not aware of any complaints whatsoever from this client to me regarding the quality of the photos taken or our services - in fact quite the opposite! The statement of "a couple of great pictures" does not accurately reflect the quality photography that was provided them. In fact, I have an email from "cape monkey" that was sent to me after she saw the photos 2 weeks after her wedding date that said, "Thank you so much Matt! These are fabulous!"

Another email from this client shortly after the wedding stated, "Hi Matt, I just wanted to send along our appreciation for all your help at our wedding, and we were so thankful that you and Marci could be there to capture it for us"

To address the "many costs that emerged", this client, like all my clients, are provided with a folder clearly outlining each and every cost associated with photographing their wedding. My wife and I met with them in person, went over in detail each and every item and cost verbally, and they left our meeting with a copy of all costs, fees, etc. They were informed that my website (at the time of their searching for a photographer) had a page listing all costs as well for them to reference. All of this was done prior to them signing any contract, so that they would be well informed of what was expected of each party.

For whatever reasons I do not think that they the materials provided to them, and didn't fully understand us during our meeting, etc,. I also had given a discount due to a prior business relationship with the groom. Their package, in addition to the discount, also included a number of prints of their choice – some $550 in value - which they received shortly after letting us know which they desired.

While it is true we were temporarily unavailable for a brief period following the wedding, it was because we moved cross country shortly after their wedding - something that they were completely aware of beforehand.

They had a lot going on besides which could have led to them loosing the folder I provided them, forgetting pricing details, etc.

Regards,

Matt Suess
