“SF Bay Area - Worst service in my life!!!!”

I don't think I've had a worst experience with ANY company in my life! 2 chats, 3 calls, and 4+ hours of my life! I took the day off work to meet the tech 2x: 1st time, appt was never made - 2nd time, appt was moved w/o anyone informing me. After the 1st time, I was assured again and again that nothing like this wld happen again...WRONG! 2nd time, they assured me again and again and again...WRONG AGAIN! Did Comcast try to make up for it by working around my schedule and getting me a tech ASAP after this? No, "our next available is...one week later!"..."or I can just cancel the later appt and you can reschedule at another time." (To what? THREE wks later?) Did that supervisor (who I was PROMISED would call after that 2nd issue) ever call me? No! Competent reps they are not! Trustworthy they are not! Save the years off your life Comcast's aggravation will cost you and use any other company! The pain of switching companies is worth it, just to never have to deal with them again! Comcast, stop cheaping out with your outsourcing and find some good quality CS folks who have at least a thimble of competency. Oh...last one...service got cut off cuz I accidentally missed a pmt...the phone rep tells me..."I just checked with my manager and our phone bill pmt service is closed. We are just the tech dept. You will have to call tomorrow morning to pay." Really? Automated phone systems close? Er...no, they don't. I hung up, called back, and just used the automated service to pay my bill and get my service restored. How much worse can bad info get? (Or common sense?) If I could give NO stars, I would!

“horrible service and signal”

“'Customer Service,' (which is a joke)”

I have been hooked up for over 16 years with Comcast. Transferring service to my new home you thought it would be easy, with Comcast/Xfinity...NO WAY! I put in order for Comcast to Transfer my service over THREE weeks ago. Talk about lack of communication! I'm cancelling the whole thing! Customer service is terrible. Never call them unless you have 2-3 hours to waste. I don't know how this company is still in business, 'Customer Service,' (which is a joke)

“good programming but bad customer service”

I have had comcast service for almost three weeks. While the programming selection is great, customer service has been a nightmare to deal with. It all started with a botched install job (subcontractor). In order to get the issues fixed, i have had to have 4 different people to come to my house and obviously that means four different days that i had to wait around. With a wedding coming up that was not the best use of my time and energy. Called to complain to customer service, and they just simply said that since it is a subcontractor, they cant do much.

I really do like comcast tv. I actually got xfinity bundle with all 3 services. I do recommend comcast to every and any one. The cable nevers goes out in storms !!!!!!!!!!

“Comcast Internet Service service department is...”

Comcast Internet Service service department is uncooperative and terribly slow. It should be considered an emergency when a phone is out overnight and a repair truck should be sent out immediately. I suppose that once a party has signed up for your service, the real responsibly is not important any longer. I have however noticed that it is essential that all bills be paid on time or there is a threat of cancellation. I am very upset with Comcast and will consider changing my service.

I left Comcast to try DirectTv. Huge mistake. Comcast welcomed me back and gave me a special deal because I returned. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to call customer service. They take care of business and are always friendly.

“I live in a small town that Comcast has turned their...”

I live in a small town that Comcast has turned their backs on. Most people near me have gone to Dish because of horrible service. If it rains, snows or is windy I lose connection. The lines are old and Comcast refuses to be bothered upgrading here. If I call for service I am told 7-10 business days for a technician and I am expected to take a day off to be here between 9 and 5. I wrote a letter to the BBB and suddenly Comcast CARED enough to come out and completely troubleshoot my lines. The technician moved me to a "better" line but I still suffer from these problems. I was also given a "special" number to contact the area manager if I have problems. This translates to "This wheel squeaks too much... shut him up and appease him." I used the number once. No repairs were made but they refunded me 1 month's charge for my aggravation.

Tech support is also unhelpful. Apparently, if you are not using Windows XP or Vista they refuse to assist you. Literally! Example:
me: "Hello, my cable line is lying in my yard. It appears to have broken at the pole."
support: "I can't see your modem on our network"
me: "No kidding! The line is down!"
support: "I want you to try to do a ping test. What version of Windows are you running?"
me: "I am not running Windows and a ping test will not do any good! The line from the pole to my house is BROKEN, SEVERED, CUT, DOWN, THE ENDS ARE NOT CONNECTED! Do you understand?!?!"
support: "I'm sorry but we can only support Windows XP and Vista.

I am charged the same $110 as someone with good service but I don't see the same quality. The SECOND FIOS comes through here (a 2 year wait) I am dropping Comcast.
