We are going home today can't stay a minute longer! Where do I start The caravan was covered in bird poo even on the inside of the Windows the beds have coils coming through the mattress and glasses cups and cutlery were dirty In the restaurant the floor was so minging you stuck to it, tables were covered with dirty plates and glasses. Food on menu unavailable drinks flat and staff didn't have a clue unhelpful and rude Showbar had 2 people serving and a que that took 45 mins to get a drink once again staff were rude Toilets in complex were disgusting unclean and unchecked toilet roll urine and worse on the floor. My son slipped on urune and now has a black chin! I managed to offend a member of staff by taking pictures of the state of the ladies and by magic half an hour later they had been cleaned up for the first time in 3 days! Not a lot more to say apart from the swimming pool changing rooms have exactly the same standard and stink of urine Yuk yuk yuk so glad I'm going home If you want a holiday avoid this place at all costs!

I don't normally complain but this place was unreal, the filth was outrageous, there was a frying pan filled with dirty fat in the oven, there was cracked glasses in the cupboard, there was a big green dirty sponge in the shower, there was a dirty t-shirt on the steps there was a kids sword I. Top of the cupboards with an inch full of dust covering it, the caravan was covered in seagull poo to the state that you couldn't see out the window properly, the cooker didn't work so I had to call the maintenance men and after they had fixed the oven whilst I was out my sons iPhone 4s went missing, there was a constant drip in the caravan near where you sleep so had no sleep then at 7:45am the gardeners come around cutting the grass with there grass trimmers really loudly smashing them on the caravan, after complaining about 10 time via email and phone I finally got an answer from a manager called Jason who said that he is sticking to the original decision and doing nothing yet thus was the first I had heard of any decision ? His customer service skills are disgusting and I only stayed there as my friend has purchased a caravan on the site and asked me to come and stay to see if I wanted to buy one, I'm glad I seen the way they treat people before I spent my money on this site, I had a lucky escape thank god, I also got a call from a lady basically accusing me of lying about the phone because she was talking to me on my number, it was my other phone which my son uses! Outrageous, I've never in my life been treated so bad by a company and shocked that they still have jobs!

On arrival the caravan that I was issued was dirty curtains hanging down and window catches broken, second van had previously had a leak and the smell of damp in the mornings was unbearable came home a day early would not go back as the visit was to look at site with intentions to buy static van for holidays, facilities were very good shame about the let down with the caravan.

I arrived at camber sands last week on arrival the camp was packed and over crowded , I walked into reception as I had to wait at least 10 mins for someone behind reception to even look at me as she was too busy reading a magazine. My husband was m getting annoyed at this point and had to raise his voice to get her to look . She was very rude and grumpy not smiley or welcoming. She finally gave us the keys to our caravan. On the way up to check in there were "staff" on buggies going in front of our car pulling out in front of us looking miserable . We found our caravan as we opened the door and stepped in there was a horrible smell like sewige. The carivan was filthy table had not been clean bed sheets clearly wernt big enougth for the bed and dirty and smelled tap didn't work kept dripping bed very uncomfortable toilet had stains down it sink had marks over it and the shower had 5 hairs in it and full of sand. And was not hovered properly something seriously needs to be done as the accommodation clearly have no clue bin liners left out side which corse sea gulls and dog hairs and rubbish over caravan. I stongly DO NOT RECOMEND THIS DUMP IT'S A " with rude staff who do not help out I believe this park should be shut down . No one in their right mind should come h we left camber sands ayer 3 hours of being there lovely staff in winchelsea highly recomend it Over never go to camber sands waste of money and to sum it up. FILTHY CAMP RUDE STAFF CLOSE IT DOWN.

relatives of mine owned a caravan there and it was a concentration camp. in the 4 or so years they were there, they were elderly and the sales team harassed them to upgrade constantly.the upkeep was poor there is no investment and they completely rip off their customers. they had a salesman who was on crimewatch for assaulting women, a member of staff who attacked another with a weapon and truly is a hellhole polished to look like a respectable establishment 95% of owners are disgruntled but have a massive asset that they are tied to. avoid at all costs. ps beautiful beach though.

Just returned from half term week at camber sands. O M G booked a chalet, or what we called it a SHED. Mould on walls and bedding only 2 small heaters to cover 2 bedrooms and lounge area. Whole shed had a punjent mould smell. Children could not sleep in here. Complained and got up graded to what they call a bungalow, um not bad but on last evening daughter lost something down back of chest of draws, pulled it out and found the most appalling mould ever seen. Have taken photos and if we dont get a response from park resorts, will go to Environmental Health. Also site shop was empty and swimming pool rubbish, cant have to many people in at time so waiting time 1 hour plus, utter rubbish site wast of money, cant believe we spent a week there and half term, only week off with kids this year !!! thumbs down to park resorts VERY discusted

Absolutely appalling. The accomodation was terrible on arriving the lights in the min room and bedrooms were not working. It had not been cleaned properly indeed it came with cob webs and spiders. The furniture was broken and one of the doning chairs had a rusty nail sticking out of the seat. the blinds in both the bedroom and the main room were broken and could not be opened so was very dark. the carpet in the bathroom was mouldy and also stained with blood and toothpaste. When using the shower it over flowed, hence why the carpet was mouldy. Botwere scalded in the shower as the temperature would suddenly rise of its own accord. there were no hangers to hang your clothes on. the handles on the wardrobe doorswere absent so you could not close them as there would have been no way of re opening them. The lock was hanging off the bathroom door and the staff were not taking our complaints seriously. We ended up leaving after just 2 days so to any one thinking of going to Park Resorts in Camber dont do it!!!

Stayed with Park Resorts @ Camber from 21-30th August 2011 & can honestly say after many years of doing "holiday camp" hols with the kids - this was the WORST I've EVER encountered!
We stayed in a chalet, so at least had a bit of space around us, unlike the caravans which are packed very closely together. Having said that - on Day Two I had to clear up a full black bin liner full of rubbish that had been dumped & "sea-gulled" - with all sorts of litter flying about outside our door... In the 10 day stay - saw a cleaner outside once. A lot of the chalets have been left to rot - so you are more or less staying in the middle of a derelict building site surrounded by boarded up chalets with smashed windows & some even have no roof! (Just GREAT environment for the kids to play in..... Hmmmmm)
A theme which continues to the entire site - which is constantly dirty & has rubbish freely flying about.
The "Boathouse" restuarant isn't worth the wait... had one meal there that took over an hour to be served & was part boiling hot/part stone cold - so reckon the "chef" needs to get the microwave in sinc... Ordered my son a bowl of ice cream the next day & waited 90 minutes for it to turn up - with no apology for the delay (literally 3 scoops of ice cream & a wafer - like that takes 90 mins to prepare...) . Didn't bother going there again.
In both bars (the "Boathouse" & the main "Entertainment" bar) - the staff are slow & sultry! They really couldn't care less whether they serve you or not & the average wait for a not too cheap beer (£3.05 a pint - £3.75 for a large glass of wine) was around 20 mins every round.
Also wouldn't recommend actually touching the bars themselves at all - they are disgusting. In 10 days didn't see any of the bar staff actually wipe the bar surfaces at all - it was minging... Also regularly got stuck to the floor by the bar areas... Lovely when there's so many children around.
Don't expect your table to be cleaned or your glasses to be cleared either; I started to take kitchen wipes out with us so we could at least have a clean table... If you don't take your glasses back to the bar (& stand holding them for the 20 mins it takes to get served) - they will be left. Got to be a Health & Safety issue with the amount of kids in the main bar during the evenings - one kids knocks into a table & will be showered in glasses....
The air conditioning in the main entertainments bar doesn't work - & as I was told - hasn't worked for some time now, so don't take a cardigan. It gets HOT!
Whilst we were there - both "Slush Puppy" machines in both the bars broke down & weren't bothered to be repaired - so the only place to buy one was in the Fish bar, when it was open (see below!) = loads parents with screaming kids in tow lining up for simply ages to get served - all for a bleedin' Slush Puppy!
The "Fish Bar" is supposed to open at "12 midday", "about 4-ish" & "when it likes" according to the staff we asked... No notices anywhere as to when this restuarants actual opening hours are... Have to say very reasonably priced food; when it's open.... Don't expect to be able to buy a kebab as advertised - until after 10pm (as NOT advertised...) There are only ever 2 staff in the Fish Bar, one serving & one cooking - apart from Saturdays, so expect yet another wait to be served. At least the staff there are far more jolly than at the bar & actually give you the impression that they WANT to serve you, as opposed to couldn't giving a toss whther you get your drink or not (bars!) .....
Best go home if you want the loo - as the public toilets are just as disgusting as the bar areas... most of the cubicles were "out of order" during our stay & the ones that were "working" probably should've been classed as "out of order." There is a check-list notice in there that's supposed to be filled in when the cleaner "checks" & "cleans" :- remained completely blank for our entire 10-day stay.
Beware of the decking area outside the "Boathouse" bar/restuarant! Very slippery when wet - to the extent that one of the Entertainments team broke his wrist on it when I was there! You'll also sit out there amongst someone else's empty glasses, so will be plagued by wasps.
Very nice to lay on a bouncy slide/castle-y-thing & trampolines (which are actually v good as totally enclosed so no risk of flying children) - however EACH ride = £1 per kid = 5 slides, OR 5 "goes" of the castle OR 5 mins of the trampolines - so if you have 2 as I do - that £6 everytime you venture up there for a total of 15 mins. Gets expensive. I've probably funded the "bouncy castle man"'s pension for the next 20 years in the space of 10 days... Wouldn't hurt to have a price overall for everything. Be careful of the big slide there too - my daughter ended up with 3 bad grazes on her back & my son cut his ankle on it - all in the one day!
There's also a hole in the wooden bridge on the children's playground area (my son stuck his foot thro it & got stuck!) - & there's only about 2 of the "street lights" thay have there that actually work, so as the evenings draw in - you can't let the kids play there as it's too dark & their lighting is non-existent.
The on-site shop is priced much the same as the one along the road for food to be honest. But neither are cheap! £2.70 odd for a pack of 8 sausages & I paid £4.95 for 4 AA batteries... so stock up b4 you go. On-site they also don't seem to have any postcards of Camber itself (??) but of anywhere else you can imagine... I recommend going to the gift shop next to the Castle pub along the road - they are lovely in there & have loads more to offer!
Having said all that - the only 2 "saving graces" are the pool staff - who are really friendly & helpful (thanx for that guys) & the Entertainments Team do their very best to keep the kids entertained of an evening (probably to keep them away from tables full of empty glasses...) - in particular - "John-Boy" (wish I had 5 mins of his enthusiasm & energy)
Overall tho' - I really wouldn't recommend this site at all & would say steer well clear unless some drastic improvements are made.
I felt so strongly, that for the first time ever I have actually written to complain about the state of this site & so far have received a letter saying I will receive another letter once "the matters have been addressed"
Camber Sands need to seriously pull it's socks up.

Me and my husband paid £750 for 7 nights in a gold caravan at park resorts in camber. Having been to camber for many years have stayed in some nice caravans but this time was shocking.
The over all look was tacky, dark wood table had chunks out of it, cream carpet stained. Then as we stayed it was a joke, it had a 2 seater & a 3 seater sofa, the 2 seater had completely collapsed so that you couldnt sit on it. Having two children with us made it hard to put up with, my son was mostly on floor. To top it all we had a bath (not Shower) that leaked throught the wall of the bathroom and soaked the wall and carpet in living room area, hense stained carpet.after 2 days the carpet was soaked and the whole van was damp, my son has cronic asthma & this made him worse. Weather was bad so we spent a lot of time in here. I complained twice nothing was done.
i did feel bad for the people who own that caravan.
The bars and fish & Chip shop were badly under staffed, which made them even slower, moody and very unhelpful. everywhere is dirty, they sell nothing they advertise. i have to say the only nice thing about my holiday was the beach, that we couldnt see as it rained for 7 days. for the money this holiday cost i will not ever be going to park resorts again.

We stayed for 7 nights from 14th to 21 August 2010. Our experience was very disappointing. The chalet was clean enough and a reasonable location but sadly, that was were our positive review ended.
The park in general was very tatty, lots of dog mess on the pathways, the restaurant was dreadful, all microwaved food and took forever to arrive. The bars were well understaffed and the staff that were there were bored and unhelpful. The evening entertainment was tacky, dull and far too loud! The same performers every night, just a different costume and they werent very good singers either!
We actually left a day early because we couldnt face another evening in the Showbar, or another day shelling out fortunes in the Arcade.
All in all, it has totally put us off using a Holiday Park, we will never use Park Resorts again

Just come back from a weeks stay at Camber Sands and feel very disapointed. We stayed in a silver caravan for four nights at a cost of £600. The caravan did not have a table or chairs, which was a total nightmare for a family of six (three kids under the age of 7), the double pull out bed was seriously uncomfortable and as an alternative we had to use the cushions on the sofa instead. They had no cover over the pilot light on boiler so the flame was exposed - we were so concerned that we kept turning it off for fear of a fire or the children putting their fingers in! The pools were a lot smaller than advertised and people were turned away because they were so busy. All in all I can safely say that the place was horrible. The main attraction of the park appeared to be the fruit machines and made the atmosphere quite trashy! Thumbs down for Cambersands park resort but thumbs up for the sandy beaches on the other side of the road!

have just come back form 3 days camping. my first thoughts on this place were of concentration camps.
dirty blocks, horrible chalet's, crappy uneven ground for tents, awful perimeter fence, shameful river running through the site which is disgusting and non-existant childens disco which was advertised. those brochures have been touched up big time!!
could be much better if park resorts recognised what is needed, but they dont. i will never go back there again!

Myself a friend and our 2 little boys aged 1 and 5 stayed at Camber sands 6th August 2010 - 9th August 2010, what a dissapointment!!!
Unfortunatly what a 2 hour journey should of been ended up being a 7 hour journey due to the Bridge being shut so by the time we got to the camber sands there was no one to show us to our caravan just a security guard who gave us our keys and a map which is no gd in the dark when not lit up there was no arrows saying nos ? -? this way they were in the windows of the caravans which is impossible to see in pitch black so we spent ages driving round a big caravan site getting out the car and running up to peoples windows to see what numbers they were anyway eventually we found our caravan. I paid for a gold caravan which wasnt cheap only to be very let down, as soon as we opened the door it blasted us with a musty smell, there was a big rip and hole in carpet and ink all over the sofas and the controls for the tv batteries were flat!! im not usually a fussy person but when you paid how I did I expect it to be at least clean, I had a 3 bed which we only used the double bed for me and my son the two twin rooms you could hardly swing a cat and could not expect a adult to sleep in them beds just about big enough for a small child.
On the upside we were quite near everything and was very impressed with the swimming pools.
The main restuarant is the Boathouse which is filthy and the staff are miserable, I dont think i saw one smile, they are all youngsters and clearly dont want 2 be there. I asked if i could have scramble egg rather than fryed all I got was NO! a child friendly place should accomodate you this clearly wasnt the case. Air con didnt work in club house! NEVER AGAIN!!

Booked a three night stay in a classic apartment, never again, the chalet was full of ants, strong odours not very nice, filthy sheet left from last visitors, tatty old chalets and nothing works well inside, my family were quite disgusted by the whole thing, also extra charges for things inside the camp put us off when you have children who like to play. Shame as Pontins was always a great favourite of mine, needs now a complete overhaul.

Park resorts - Camber Sands
my partner and i stayed here with our two young children aged 3 and 1, last week (5th-9th july). The accomodation was quite nice, although the windows were covered in dry bird poo on our arrival (i also heard the man next door complain about the same thing) we also didn't have any net curtains, so every evening you could see right through into the chalets, and it didnt feel very private.
The entertainment for young children was virtually non-existent.
On our first morning we took our children to 'sparky's kids club for under 5's! All we found was a teenage girl texting on her phone, paying no attention to the children, and some puzzles scattered on the floor. There was no communication with the children at all. One boy even said to his mum 'This isn't very fun is it'
We thought we would try the childrens disco, which was at 5.45 in the clubhouse. The disco lights were on, with bob the builder, and similar music playing...but where were the staff??? AGAIN there was no interaction from the staff.
We tried both the morning club and the disco several times and found them to be just as bad as our first visit.
They do however have a playground, which was quite nice for the children.. but then i could have just stayed at home and taken them to our local park.
The surrounding area was lovely..but apart from the beach, camber sands doesn't have much going on, so you are better off if you have a car to drive about in.

We stayed at Camber Sands 12- 19th June - We booked two Yew Bungalows, Silver I have never experienced such disgusting accommodation. In one of the bungalows the front electric hob had been left on, thankfully this was spotted by my son-in-law before by two year old granddaughter touched it. The bungalows were dirty, blinds not working in two of the bedrooms and the other bungalow that was sleeping my 1 and 2 year old granddaughters stunk of smoke throughout. Furtniture falling apart, cob webs on windows. Whilst my son-in-law and I went to complain at reception, we were not the only ones. Ants in the rooms, absolutely disgusting, having written to head office to complain, just got a standard letter back offering no compensation. They think I am going to leave it there - I don;'t think so!!

my thoughts on park resorts camber sands I would sooner have gone to spend a week with albert and harold steptoe at oil drum lane.
Staff rude and ignorant, accommadation we booked a silver chalet which was like an old garden shed, when we entered it there were ants running in both bedrooms when we made a complaint about the condition we was partly ignored,
we was eventually asked to leave the site by the security manager for rude attitude to staff, there was no verbal abuse used,
If there was a score marking system I would give it minus 100

This Park Resorts Park is absolutely disgusting and The service is Ridiculous.
My Parents booked a holiday for them, myself and my Partner. On arriving at the park it looked dirty and crowded.
We got the accommation keys and the Silver rated Chalet was absolutely disgusting, Ants running over the two bedrooms, bathroom dirty, blinds broken and the stove was full of brown grease. We went to complain and after numerous arguments we was offered another chalet but we refused as it would have been the same as they all looked dirty and like a wooden shed from the outside. We was then offered a bronze caravan a downgrade with no kind of refund or compensation, we said we would look at it. But as soon as we got outside the security manager said that due to our poor attitude which was not rude, no verbal or physical abuse but forward stating our points we was refused accommodation and told to leave site the security manager also touched my fathers shoulder which they are not supposed to do and also snatched the keys out of my hand. The staff are very unhelpful, not trained in customer service and got not care about anything. There was also two other complaints by other guests whilst we was in the reception. The Site Manager also Lied to us saying that the Bronze accommodation was dearer but the brochure which is on display in the reception states it is cheaper. 3 Page letter on way to their Head Office for Refund.

I stayed there in the same week, at felt exactly the same, but to add to all that we had a caravan that had a broken sofa, you could not sit on and a leak from the bathroom that made the whole carpet in living area wet and caravan damp. My son who has asthma was so ill when we got home.
