Bought In Oct 06 And The Problem Of Freezer Door,
Bought in Oct 06 and the problem of freezer door, at Xmas09 we noticed pack ice forming in freezer beneath the bottom box. I took out all boxes and the back panel and there was ice that had run down as water from fan unit. I carefully unscrewed the heat exchange unit and moved it forwards and then could see that water had frozen in the drain hole directly under the fan and hence cause. I thawed out the ice and put everything back. Again within days same problem. I spoke to a repairer and he said £100 for a new control unit + labour. See next...

We Bought Ours In Oct 06 And After A Year Of Use W
We bought ours in Oct 06 and after a year of use we noticed the freezer door would push open for some reason. We noticed the heat enchange unit in the freezer section seemed to have dropped slightly and this was causing the problem. We would have to push it shut very firmly. Thankfully this happenned within the warranty and the engineer came out and sorted problem.
However during Xmas 09 we noticed ice forming beneath the bottom draw - read my next review.

Fridge Freezers Failed After 2 Weeks, Engineer Arr
Fridge freezers failed after 2 weeks, engineer arrived after 1 week to replace burnt out fan unit, unit froze up again within days. Bosch replaced whole fridge freezer which broke down again with same faults.Engineers have now replaced many parts and the unit now runs for long periods.Bosch know of the problems but refuse to acknowledge them,even their delivery drivers know about the faults.

I bought one of these Bosch KGN34V00GB in October 2006. From week 2 it rattled consistently. I then read multiple on-line reviews about other customers having the same problem. I tilted it forward and defrosted it and it improved the situation.
The warranty expired after two years and then I returned from being away for two weeks to discover it had failed. The entire contents of the freezer rotten.
Reading otehr reviews I see customers with similar problems. I will throw this away and never buy another Bosch appliance again.

Bought Bosch KGN34V00GB November 2006 arrived slightly damaged an freezer drawer broken. Had it replaced shortly after.Then appeared defrost problem as ice started to build up in freezer.I would give 9 points to support services for the standard of the service they deliver.Had engineer few times first time replaced heating element, than istalled polyesterine isolation plate between fridge and freeze which seem to fix the problem, no problems since, touch wood :)

People who have problems with their Bosch KGN34V00GB listen up, yes Bosch may take a while to visit as, like any manufacturer, they only have limited amounts of refrigeration engineers (as opposed to general engineers) BUT they will help. Even if the machine is out of warranty, they will not simply refuse you. Call them, be polite-it isn't the peoples on the phones fault- and talk to their customer services. I did, they fixed my machine and restarted my two year warranty and my machine was out of warranty. They also said that they would be sympathetic if a similar fault occurred within the next 5-6 years. Ok so my Bosch developed a very serious fault but surely we should also judge the company by what they do to help us?
The same problem has recently developed on my Bosch, same model. Good to see that Bosch will help, albeit slowly; I'll be contacting them next week.

I've Had It Less Than Two Years And Not Cooling Pr
I've had it less than two years and not cooling properly. Milk and cream have not kept to use by date. Would not have known if I didn't have a thermometer. Luckily I've discovered this while it's still under guarantee.Nuisance, had to clear it out and defrost for 48 hours to wait engineer.

I bought this fridge freezer in June 2006. The problem happened in January 2007. Telephoned customer services who said they couldn't send an engineer for 10 days. Did fit me in for a cancellation. The engineer took 2 hours with a hairdrier defrosting behind the appliance and said it was some sort of blockage. Four months later it happend again. I argued with the customer services and they said they would liaise with the engineer when he came. He took one look at the back of the freezer and immediately phoned and agreed with them to exchange the original one for a new one.
When the deliverers brought the new one they told us this was a known design problem and that the item had been modified and that we should not have a problem with the new one. Now 6 months later the same defect has occurred with the new one. I asked if they would come and just take the fridge freezer away as I no longer wanted it and they refused.
I would never buy a Bosch appliance again.

Apparently There Is A Problem With The "defrost He
Apparently there is a problem with the "defrost heater" in these machines. Bosch know about it as do their engineers. It cannot be repaired so a replacement is required. If still in warranty that is not to bad but if it has expired "hard chuckies".
