Luckerly I didn't go to Paris just to see the Eiffel tower, if I did it would've been a complete waste of money, and time. We were queuing for an hour atleast and when we got to the top there wasn't much to see apart from the roof of office buildings through the haze. What is the point of having a big stucture like that when it's always cloudy so the top is occaionally in cloud. Most people in Britain who like Paris say that because it has "better weather" and has the "Eiffel tower". Wrong, Paris is about a degree warmer than London on average, but it has quite alot more rainfall, which means more cloudy days, and less of a chance to see anyhting from the top of the tower. The tower doesn't even look that impressive from the ground, it's basically just a metal frame that looks dirty, rusty and unfinished. I expected much better and was very dissapointed with it. The sad thing is, apart from the Arc, there isn't alot more to see in Paris. You may not be as high but you get a million times better view of London from the London Eye. What ever happens, don't travel half way round the world to get to Paris as it will end up being a complete waste of money.
