This site has plenty of reviews available on the internet to read. Most of which will let you know that it's a spam driven site hosted in the UK with links to Africa. The site is not safe and cannot be trusted. It flouts privacy laws and spam laws which are considered illegal in some countries. Stay well clear of this site.

I have never register to this side but when my old friend google me he found this profile on wyan with my full name and even the exact places I have visited!! This is a big spam and should not be allowed.

I was told by my husband that I had an account on here. Be weary, this website took very old information and a photo and posted it as current information saying that I updated my profile today and that I have twelve friends. I am not sure who is using this account but I pray they are not being bamboozled into thinking that is really me. I have reported this website to the FBI and reported it for identity theft. Be careful people. Also this website has twelve different websites, they are so honest they couldn't just have one name.

If I could ever find out where they are headquartered, I have he money and the time to find them wherever they are and deal with them personally and forcefully. They behave in an unethical, unacceptable and, possibly, illegal manner. Stay away from them!

Having googled my name, I came across "my" profile on Wayn.com. I have never registered my email address or name with them, yet there's a profile with photos stolen from my very old and embarrassing Myspace profile. I've emailed them to ask them to take it down but having googled the problem and seen that they've done it it other people, I'm not feeling confident that they'll get back to me. Just awful.

It's just a pure spam site. Once they have your details you'll be plagued with junk email from them forever. AVOID.

I would not sign up for the site because I don't like getting SPAM. I wasn't signed up for them and still got a message from someone I don't know.

I joined Wayn around late 2008. Seemed to be the zenith of the website's popularity. There was lot of interaction and it was bustling with activity. Most members were genuinely passionate about traveling and offering their help and tips if you were coming to their area or destination where they had traveled before. Wayn started to go clearly downhill during late 2009 and 2010. The UI got filled with ads, the website got buggy, they removed the section where you could write review about hotels, restaurants etc. People started to leave, they removed some features that had helped to increase user interaction. More and more messages started to come from perverts and romance scammers. Then more and more previously free features became VIP aka paid only. Early 2011 they added some ok features that made the site bit better like you could make the site to automatically ask travel tips from people for destinations where you were planning to travel...well in the end they removed that feature. Well nowadays the owners have pretty much killed the website with their greed. Nowadays almost all functions are VIP only. Now you can't even see who visited your profile, you can't read all the messages or see who sent them in the first place unless you cough up money for Wayn and get the VIP memberships. It doesn't cost much but paying it isn't worth of semi-dead, greed filled den the website is nowadays. Probably one of the worst social networks when it comes to greed and money grubbing...

Wayn, should not be a site as they suck with their customer service. When I complained about a person on wayn, who was abusive towards me, they just decided to penalize me and not take any action for it and threaten to close my account. But I closed my account as I realized that wayn was not taking action for my complaint against this person and is blaming me instead.

All I have done to find myself on WAYN I've mapped my FB friends.When I logged in I thought it was about travelling. But then I got a lot of friend's request from strangers. Some of them were usual people but some were real scammers. I've checked them and I'm sure now. I reported to WAYN team about them but no results. I put the information on special antiscammer sites as well. So it's unsafe to make friends there. Some scammers are stupid just asking money and others are fake lovers with fake faces and stories. They steal photos of people maybe from FB and put it as their own or just use model's pictures. So don't believe them if you don't want to be robbed or taken in! Girls don't be so naive! Moreover I found out a lot of naked erotic photos of young girls and women there with men comments. It's not about travelling it's about dating. Only 3 questions about travelling during my 6 month story with WAYN.

Not only would I not reccommend WAYN to anyone, but I beleive they should be investigated by the police. When I first joined was inundated with begging letters from scammers. There are many under aged girls on it who admit being under age(i'm only 15 lol) inthe find friends feature. i never felt secure on the site. Add to that the constant badgering of the WAYN team for money to be come a VIP. eventually they block your mails/profile views and meet requests if they cannot extort money out of you. one experience but the lid on it. I went to view the profile of an attractive woman, and found out it was the profile of a 55 year old Colombian pimp. So is being used by criminals as well so beware. I found yesterday when I tryed to delete my profile that I could not erase my own photos. I have written to their so called support team to have my account erased. If I get no satisfation in the next two days will consider legal action against them. I liked nothing about it .

What has this site got to do with travelling? Had nothing but requests to meet from ugly old men with no interest in travelling at all. It's a sick site, beware!

I first received an auto invite from a friend who'd dobbed his email list in to WAYN ... ignored it only to get another email saying i now had a 'message' awaiting me from someone i didn't recognize.... but I had to fill out my profile to get access to the site! Once I filled in the bare minimum to see the message found it was from WAYN itself "welcoming" me... I was really ANGRY. Ignored it again only to get another email from WAYN saying "you said you would upload your photo 'later' we were wondering when 'later' would be!" HOW bloody RUDE!!!!! I am being HARASSED by this site and have now removed myself. I am disgusted that people constantly allow social networking sites to access their email accounts - enabling the site to target their friends for memberships. Its made worse when the site itself uses pressure tactics to get you to fill out a profile! Its a terrible site!

I came across this review site as i was actually trying to work out of WAYN was out there employing people to write bodgy profiles. why don't they GIVE UP! they've been filling my inbox for years now and I am sick of how desperate they are getting. Give it a few months and they will have to roll over and die. i hope.
