Pretty Well As The Last Review - Excellent Staff H

pretty well as the last review - excellent staff help. The lady serving was particularly helpful with our choice of kit and the MD makes a fair point regarding his stock. We needed help and received it/not pushed and very professional approach. No not likes for me as I like small shops!

Mountainshack In Worcester Has It Sussed! Everythi

Mountainshack in Worcester has it sussed! Everything they sell has most likely been tested by at least one of the sales staff. I recently bought a pair of Miendl Approach Shoes and the advice I was given was fantastic, a lot more than I would expect from anywhere else, even a proper shoe shop! The only disappointing things about Mountainshack is that the shop is rather small but by no means any lesser, in fact a lot better than that of, say Blacks.

Another minor issue is that they often stick to the same brands: Columbia, Berghaus, Rab, TNF, Clog, Lowe Alpine, Scarpa, Meindl and Black Diamond. Of course this is a huge range compared to other shops and a very minor gripe indeed! I would certainly recommend this shop to anyone looking for great gear at decent prices and with lots of helpful friendly advice from sales staff.

Little John

Managing Director of Mountainshack here,

Thank you for the great comments. If I can just pick up on the small criticism. The reason we don't change brands every season is that we put reliability before fashion. That matters in the mountains. A brand MUST have good back up as well as good product. If we find that the amount of returns or our own testing shows up a weakening brand or even that a brands ego is forcing the price above value then we change it. Come in again.
