Do not ever purchase their BUSINESS SELECT upgrade. It is the most disappointing thing to ever happen to a flyer. It promises FIRST to board. Yeah, right! You are first in line AFTER all the pre-boarders - anyone with a limp, a child, a cough, or any supposed ailment. Our highest count on the 'pre-boarders' was 14. Appeals to SW for a refund will be meet with indifference and denial. They should have just said 'Thank you' for donating all the extra money to SW. I would have appreciated a receipt so I can write the donation off.

Southwest airlines does not guarantee that you will have a seat on your flight even if you purchase your ticket in advance and arrive at the airport on time. 3 times in the last year I have purchased a ticket to only get the the airport and be told that there is not enough seating for me to get on my flight. The first time I was put on a flight an hour later. The next time I told them to just refund my money. The last time I put up such a fuss that they "found" a seat for me. The thing is Southwest vastly overbooks their flights to account for people possibly not showing. The problem is that people DO show up and then they run out of seats. The icing on the cake is, for the most part they are pretty unapologetic about it. One of the "customer service" reps that I talked to about this actually ask me "so what do you want me to do about it?" How about you give a damn and respect your passengers time and money and stop overbooking your flights!

Southwest customer service stinks & they treat seniors like the trash. I was just trying to print my boarding pass. I had to wait on line for almost a half hour. Then the person that answered could not help me & put me on hold again so she could find someone to help her figure it out. Then I was told that because I am a senior I cannot print my boarding pass & must wait until I get to the Airport. This means that because I am a senior I must board last. If they told me because I am a senior I would board after the animals I would have used another airline. Southwest thinks it’s fine to discriminate against seniors. And, the bottom line is they don’t care what people think of them anyway. In the future I will either get fitted for a dog collar or use another company.

We plan our trip to Atlanta every year for the peach tree road race, last year the weather was exceptionally bad and we (after a discussion with the Airline rep) elected to cancel our flight for a full valture as it was offered and we accepted it. We now jump forward to today we are now planing and going on line to book our flight for the same date and times. WE go to use our certificate only to find we can not book our flight. Hum whats wrong the airline says you must travel before exp. date. However the document we received says NOTHING ABOUT TRAVELING BEFORE. what it does say is that you must book the flight, ok so lets book the flight NO you must wait till the certificate expire's then we will grant you and extention for 100.00 dollars, so let me get this straight Once the certificate is no longer worth anything you'll wink-wink will extend it. really!!! so 1. by the time it expires the flights will have double in cost (last mintue buy) your going to charge me a 100.00 to extend the date maybe. had the certificate said must fly before expires we would have made other plans now to late. I just wonder How many others you have Cheated over the years - feels like a class action to me. Morle of the story NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER FLY SOUTHWEST EVER AGAIN. OH THE 2 STAR RATING IS OVER RATED- PLEASE GO OUT OF BUS.

First of all I paid the extra $50 for the early bird check in. Well our first flight from Akron to Chicago plane stopped on runway stating we had to sit on runway for half hour due to traffic congestion. My husband and I had to catch another flight on time in Chicago to Las Vegas. By the time we got there plane was almost done boarding. We boarded last only to sit apart whole flight (even though we were A passenger.) then waited extra time for luggage in Vegas only to see luggage moved to another baggage terminal. On way back flights delayed again, stewardesses attitudes were horrible. I emailed there customer service day we returned with no response a week later. They are truly the worst airline in the world. Never ever fly with them again. Oh and unfortunately my husband was also bitten no flight by fleas yep fleas.
