Constant changing of gates. Delay after delay. Super slow boarding process. Need to work on professional attitude
Using A Voucher Vs A Airfare Credit
I have to post this to see if anyone else is having issues with Southwest. I always liked them but lately in my opinion, are going down hill. It started 2 trips ago on my way back home. Southwest canceled my early bird check in due to a computer problem. They said sorry and gave me a LUV voucher for $12.50. I wasn't happy, but that is all they were going to give me. A refund for what I paid for. I used it on my last trip. On this trip the airfare went down and I had a $96.90 credit in my account. I went to book a new trip this September and I am told my credit expires in August due to me using this voucher. I called corp. headquarters and was told there is nothing they could do. So if I understand this correctly. they give me a refund in the form of a voucher, I use it and the $96.90 refund is no good. The voucher was a refund for something you canceled on me. Southwest, do you actually listen to what you say and this makes sense to you. So a refund you gave me back due to your error, cost me $96.90. Tough way to make a profit
Dicrimination
I applied for southwest stores department back in 2015. The went to the interview in phoenix arizona people department. There i met a stores person and a personnel. They had asked me what i did in the stores department. I told them what i did and basically did everything they have done. Keep in mine i come from a much larger stores department in chicago which every station works differently due to aircraft that come and go. So at the end of the interview the stores person replied look we don not want any trouble we are a closely nit family. So the point was i never got called for the position. Inturn i called personnel department back and asked him why i did not get called for the position , he replied look i do not understand why he did not pick you really qualify for the position. Anyhow the position once again came open in 2016. So i applied again this time i got called for a second interview and they paid for my flight to loves field texas. I got down their and this time it was a different personnel person and stores, union rep. Once again i answered all
of there questions and personnel said you really qualify for the position in phoenix NOW ASK YOURSELF WHY THEY WOULD FLY ME TO TEXAS AND TURN AROUND AND NOT HIRE ME? so i returned home that day and i waited a hole month and i called back inquire about the position and was told look we do not know what direction we are going in but you are welcome to reapply and i do not know when the position is going to be reopened. Just then 2 days went by and i happen to find the position reopened by southwest airlines. I came across the position within the first 3 hrs. and and reapplied. Once again i waited another month and called, FINALLY THEY SAY HE YOU APPLIED FOR VERY COMP. FIELD AND THAT IS WHY YOU DID NOT GET CALLED BACK. SO BASICALLY THEY ARE TELLING ME IN SO MANY WORDS LOOK GET LOST. Later on i found a new posting from southwest and applied this time for a different department which i happen to be working right now they replied we decide not to move forward with your application. There was 2 positions i applied and got the same answers the same day. BASICALLY IT IS NOT WHAT YOU NO BUT WHO YOU NO. HERE i have 20 years experience and you do not qualify for work at southwest. By the way I keep records of every person that said what and the names will come out.
Do Not Ever Purchase Their Business Select Upgrade
Do not ever purchase their BUSINESS SELECT upgrade. It is the most disappointing thing to ever happen to a flyer. It promises FIRST to board. Yeah, right! You are first in line AFTER all the pre-boarders - anyone with a limp, a child, a cough, or any supposed ailment. Our highest count on the 'pre-boarders' was 14. Appeals to SW for a refund will be meet with indifference and denial. They should have just said 'Thank you' for donating all the extra money to SW. I would have appreciated a receipt so I can write the donation off.
Two Flta In A Row Now Midway To Atlanta Good Weather Long U
Chicago to Atlanta no more should be no weather issues
Worst Experience Ever!!!!!
Evertime you call customer service either they hang up on you are tell you a manager will call you back.....they never call back. We had a refund from a pregnancy and we were told 4 different time frames on when we will receive our refund. Terrible customer service and there slogan is TRANFAREINCY HA
I agree Southwest Airlines suck! You pay to fly and it cost you more than a ticket to buy new luggage and stuff they broke and lost they ar not timely the seats are small and I felt as though I was sitting on concrete I will never use them again and am contacting FAA because of the damage done to my luggage and loss of them
Southwest Airlines Rocks!
Great experience great price and great seating.
On time and attendants were super nice!
No Guaranteed Seating
Southwest airlines does not guarantee that you will have a seat on your flight even if you purchase your ticket in advance and arrive at the airport on time. 3 times in the last year I have purchased a ticket to only get the the airport and be told that there is not enough seating for me to get on my flight. The first time I was put on a flight an hour later. The next time I told them to just refund my money. The last time I put up such a fuss that they "found" a seat for me. The thing is Southwest vastly overbooks their flights to account for people possibly not showing. The problem is that people DO show up and then they run out of seats. The icing on the cake is, for the most part they are pretty unapologetic about it. One of the "customer service" reps that I talked to about this actually ask me "so what do you want me to do about it?" How about you give a damn and respect your passengers time and money and stop overbooking your flights!
Southwest Flies Above The Competition
Recently, I have traveled a lot for business and for personal trips, using different airlines such as United, American, and US Airways. Even though I have never had a bad experience flying on any of my flights (with the exception of the occasional turbulence), my recent flights with Southwest Airlines has set the airline apart from what my previous experiences with their competition.
The first time I boarded a Southwest flight, I was surprised at the amount of positivity that I experienced. The airline is well known for extremely cheap airfare but after my first flight, I questioned myself, “Why is this not the most expensive?” With other airlines, I get on the plane, they give me water or juice, and they tell me how to buckle my seatbelt, etc. with a smile. With Southwest Airlines, I am treated like royalty, given free snacks, allowed the option to have free soda if I chose to, there is free Wi-Fi on board, and I feel really safe having the flight attendant give us a unique version of the pre-flight instructions that is not the same boring speech to ensure that everybody is paying attention. Not to mention, with the “bags fly free” policy, I am able to bring both my suitcase and my golf clubs along with my carry-on luggage at no additional cost!
The airline company did have one flaw. During a layover I had at Chicago Midway, one of the ladies at the desk in front of my gate was rude to me when I asked her a question which prompted me to send a “friendly letter” to corporate headquarters describing my encounter. Even without acknowledging her name in the letter, I am able to tell that Southwest was quick to respond and are true to their word when they say, “If it matters to you, it matters to us” because when I had a layover a few months later in Chicago, the same lady treated me with the upmost respect.
I never really had a favorite airline before but after flying with Southwest Airlines a couple of times, I honestly cannot see myself using any other airline.
Stolen Money
My wife and I were scheduled to go to a Christmas party in Tampa, but she got sick. I called Southwest on December 12 hours before the flight and told them my wife would not be flying because she was sick. Southwest said to use the confirmation to redeem credit for the flight and nothing else was needed. We called to redeem the credit using the confirmation number and they denied credit for the flight and asked us to prove we called in to let them know my wife was not flying that day. I had my phone service send a log and they took 60+ days and still denied. Southwest Airlines Customer service says "my finance department has the final say". Southwest refuses my request to verify from their phone logs. SOUTHWEST HAS TAKEN MY MONEY AND HIDING BEHIND THEIR FINANCE POLICY. NO MORE SOUTHWEST FOR ME!!
