My partner bought a beautiful engagement ring from Midas last year. Like most men, he was greatly confused by the choice out there and he returned to the shop on plenty of occasions. During those visits the customer service could not have been better and he found the ladies at Midas friendly, helpful and with their invaluable help, had a ring custom made. However, on returning last weekend for our wedding rings, the customer service could not have been more different. We arrived at the shop 15 minutes before closing time and were reluctantly let in by who I assumed was the manager. He promptly told us that he was preparing to close the shop. When I explained I was looking for a diamond wedding ring to accompany the engagement ring that had been bought from them, he said that all the wedding rings could be seen from the window outside. It was evident that he was simply not interested in our business and in the end I left feeling bitterly disappointed. Unfortunately, because of this incident I would not recommend Midas to a friend and instead we bought our wedding rings at another independent jewellers (Jenny Jones)that had been recommended by another friend where the customer service was impeccable.
