Would not recommend the Samsung D900 phone, the screens seem prone to cracking for no apparent reason

This is the second samsung phone that has died on her . The other they claimed had water damage. I have a nokia that has been dropped, even into the toilet and still works. Try nokia next time.

The Samsung D900 is a good phone that's badly made. The phone screen cracks at the slightest touch, been through 4 in the last year.

Nice country to country theme. I would argue the screen breaks aswell as other reviewers seem to.

Do NOT buy a Samsung D900. The phone is not fit for purpose. My screen cracked (bled) internally for no apparent reason after just 6 months. Didn't drop it, didn't put pressure on the screen. Whilst only 6 months old and still within the 12 month warranty, Carphone Warehouse abdicated all responsibility for the product they sold me for £360, fobbing me off to Samsung. Samsung automatically denied the fault is a manufacturing one (which it clearly is, just read other blogs!) and said there is noting they can do, other than charge me £47 to repair it. So my advice is do NOT buy Samsung D900 nor do NOT buy any mobile phone from Carphone Warehouse as both of these companies' customer service is appalling and apathetic even during the warranty period. They promise to ring you and and never so. All in all, they both give you the run around and neither are interested in fixing the faulty product they manufactured/sold to you.

Don't get the Samsung D900. I had it for about 3 months. Didn't drop it or hit it, it just cracked. This is due to the poor slider quality requiring the user to press on the screen to open the phone. Reception is atrocious and once it cuts out completely (eg. due to train tunnel) it takes AGES to decide that its got reception back, even though you know it should have reception.

The Samsung D900 is not worth the money to be honest!

Was recommended the Samsung D900 phone, I wish I did not bother, nice looking phone, it just does not want to play. Keeps cutting me off, poor reception even when out. Had it looked at, they put in a new areal screw?
Nothing changed, I have to keep this now for another year before replacing.

I would not buy or recommend the Samsung D900 phone far to fragile and very expensive to repair.

It is stylish, but the screen cracked on mine after 2 days, even though I was being very careful with it; so back to my trusty Nokia 8310, which is still going strong after 4 years!
The Samsung D900 mobile phone is rubbish! I won't buy one again. Also, customer service from Samsung is very poor.

A mobile phone with a cracked glass is totally useless

I bought D900 unfourtunately after only 5 days I put it in my pocket at night then in the morning I saw the display is cracked I went to the dealer but they told me I have to pay for the repair. I think there is a problem with the D900 Display many people have the same problem, I suggest for samsung to stop the product.

The Samsung D900 looks great and has all you need but it is too delicate. I had it one week, took it out of my pocket and the inner screen was cracked. Sent it to Samsung and they said it was down to me. I've seen other reports that the screen has broken, one was within a day. Even the lady at Samsung said "if you press on the screen slightly, it can crack the main inner screen". Is this a bad design making it thinner? I've got to pay out £87 to get it repaired! Should I be paying?

I experienced the same problem as Derek Allen - my Samsung D900 mobile phone had a cracked inner screen, and I had to fork out to get it repaired (unfortunately, I had owned it for just over the two weeks, so I couldn't return it to Vodafone). I had not dropped or mishandled it either, but of course Vodafone just said it was down to me. It's certainly a lovely phone to use, and barring a couple of naff features, I was very satisfied with it - but phones should be fit for the purpose, and this just isn't robust enough for day-to-day use. Don't buy it unless you want to keep it in a little metal padded case, or one of those horrid clear plastic thingies, which just defeat the whole point of having a slim phone.

I'm absolutely raging. I just got the Samsung D900 mobile phone as a Christmas present. and literally one week later the inner screen is completely and utterly ruined. I've no idea how much I'm going to have to pay out to get it fixed, as with most people in January - money's quite tight. However, I didn't drop the phone or put it in water, I merely had it in my bag and it must have been slightly knocked around as I walked, and this caused it to crack?!

The voice loudness lets the Samsung D900 phone down badly. If there is any background noise you won't hear what's said. I've gone back to Mr Orange after a day and replaced with Sony Eric k800i and very happy with it.

If you have bad sound on the Samsung D900 mobile phone, it is (as in my case) the protective film they have on the screen that is over the speaker (above the screen). Remove the film, or cut the top part off so that the speaker is open. The sound is really good once the speaker is open.

The glass underneath the screen broke within 24 hours of purchasing it. Like your previous reviewer, I had to pay to have my Samsung D900 mobile phone repaired. Less than three weeks later it has since broken again. Samsung were very unhelpful when I complained. They told me to take it back to where I purchased it; yet when I complained on the first occasion, they told me that I should have sent it back to them. A complete whitewash!
