Ideal does exactly what it says on the tin.. however, I'm another whos had damage above the door frame where the legs make contact. Im trying to find a piece of wood or metal to put across the top of the door frame to try and distribute the pressure that the legs exert. The JML irongym combats this problem with a bar rather than legs fitting above the doorframe. Im still glad I bought the Powerbar though due to the higher sitting position of the chinning bar.

Bought this for my lads. They love it.
The good thing is that it doesn't wreck your paintwork and can be stored away as opposed to a screwed-in piece of equipment.

Generally a great piece of kit. I couldn't do pullups at first so I ordered the powerbar with the tapershaper assistant and I couldn't be happier with my strength progression. I only workout at home and this kit combination is solid, takes up no space and is great value for money.

This pull up bar attatches to any door frame simply by slotting it on, it has no need for screws and the design means your weight is evenly distributed and so will do no damage to your door! Once off the door, you can use it for wide angle press ups or it fols flat for easy storage. This piece of kit is great as it's not just a chinning bar, with a combination of pull ups, chin ups and leg raises you can practice a wide range of exercises. It will not shake at all as you pull yourself up and has 2 bars for different heights. One bad point, however, is that there is no rubberised or synthetic grip where you place your hands and so if you are using it for multiple sets it can start to hurt your hands, even giving you blisters if you use it alot. A simple way around this, however, is to get a pair of weightlifting gloves, which will make it easier and more comfortable to grip!
