Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience at this bridal shop. The assistant asked me what I liked and chose out 6 dresses for me - I wasn't allowed to look for myself. All the dresses were in thick plastic bags and you couldn't see the dresses at all. My mum and myself we're not offered a drink or made to feel particularly welcome, the women we're too concerned with cleaning the banister in the shop. Shopping for your wedding dress is supposed to be a fun filled and warm occasion, but this bridal shop felt the exact opposite - cold, unwelcoming and unfriendly. I hated the fact that a family were sat at the top of the shop trying on summer dresses whilst I was in for my bridal appointment. The family were constantly commenting on each dress I tried on and the assistants did nothing to dissuade them - the shop offers no privacy at all. Overall, very poor service, not a great selection and just cheap, run of the mill dresses. Disappointing.

After popping into this shop on the off chance my daughter found the dress of her dreams.

She paid a deposit and paid it off within 3 months which is a very good scheme the shop runs.

It became apparant as soon as these ladies have your order/money the customer service stop there!

My daughter had to chase every step for her dress, the women who run the shop are rude, curt and downright ignorrant!

What should have been a pleasant time for my daughter was quite the opposite, at NO point did they make her feel special, and you get the feeling you are pestering if you dare to ask any questions!

I went to this shop with my mum & my sister. From walking through the door we were all welcomed. They made me feel very special & discussed what style of dress I wanted. They got a wide selection of dresses out for me to try on & some I tried on twice. The staff were never pushy. I found them very helpful. I found the dress of my dreams all thanks to the wonderful assistant who helped me.

Went to this shop this afternoon with my mum. Was really happy to see all the dresses wrapped in plastic. I tried 3 on and was happy with them all. Yes I did find it a little embarrasing having the assistant in the changing room, but us girls should be ready and happy when we go in there. I would have torn a hole in it otherwise. There were two I were concidering, £800 and £415 and the assistants didn't push me to buy the more expensive one. They did make me wear a boned bodice underneath even though I am slim anyway......... but it did me wonders. They are magic. Really do not be put off by the other comments on this page. You will only part with money if you want to and only you will know if it fits.

This shop has everything you'll ever need for a wedding!

Most importantly, there's a huge range of dresses in every size and are hand-picked by staff to suit every body shape, personality and taste. There's plenty to choose from and the staff are more than willing to work with you to find the perfect gown. I also found the most beautiful bridesmaid dresses to compliment my dress - they looked stunning on the day and actually suited each of my 5 maids (all of which were totally different ages and sizes). Very impressive!

Secondly, the shop has a lovely selection of men's suits to hire and other ladies formalwear, ensuring each member of the bridal party is taken care of all under one roof! (As expected from any trustworthy bridal shop).

Lastly, my overall experience at the store was comfortable and enjoyable and the level of service received was outstanding. Apart from being attentive and understanding, the ladies here were continually polite and easily approachable, making Bridal Affairs the place to go!

I bought a Prom dress from Bridal Affairs approx. 2 years ago and was extremely satisfied with the quality of the gown and the service received by the staff. My daughter looked gorgeous and she got a huge amount of compliments from everyone else at the prom. It was therefore the obvious place to return to purchase my bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses when both my husband and I decided to renew our vows.

There is basically nothing negative that can be said about the whole experience. The staff were sensitive to the requirements that I had and were expertly qualified to offer valuable guidance that allowed me to choose dresses that we all felt fantastic in.

All the dresses they sell are beautiful I would highly recommend Bridal Affairs to anyone needing to purchase prom/bridal attire.

I had several dealings with the shop prior to my friends wedding which i was a bridesmaid.

I am amazed that in the current economic climate that this shop manages to continue in buisness.

I too thought the customer service standards were lacking and there was alot of what i can only describe as attitude and alot of self worth from the ladies that work there.

The dress that i ended up wearing had to be altered which was fine but i paid £55 to find on the day it hadn't been touched!!!!!

A little frustating as it was then far too big,looked ridiculas and hence was very uncomfortable to try and wear.

Silly why this shop would continue to obviously give such poor service as all it does is make themselves look so bad.

Several people i talked with during the day and since who have looked at photos etc have all been amazed at such poor standards. Two guests on the day and a further three friends as well as myself are getting married in the near future and rather then being able to highly reccommed have all seen what a poor outcome the shop has delivered.

Having been a bridesmaid in the past and had alterations and dealings with simular shops the experience at Bridal affairs was a big dissapointment to say the least.

I am aware of other problems experienced by my fellow bridal party who also had bad experiences with the overall outcome.

1. Dress paid to be altered and not done.

2. Dress altered to a very poor standard.

3. Over charged.

4. Attitude of staff.

It did mainly in my opinion all boil down to money with the ladies at this shop and the fact they only see £££££ signs.

Having run a sucsessful buisness myself for many years i can only say the attitude and rob people blind mentality of this shop and the people that work there will be the demise of this shop as word of mouth is a very powerful tool in buisness.

Due to circumstances the bridal shop unfortunately were not able to offer the suitable custom for my wedding. We spent £1042 in the shop and they tried to add charges on for dress alteration on EACH dress when we all stayed the same body weight and dress size. Its an absolute disgrace, a wedding is stressful enough it doesn't need stuck up ladies to not allow you to take your dress away from the shop due to additional charges. I strongly recommend you do not use this shop for your wedding, it should be used as weight watchers or slimming world the amount the alter your dress at £100 a pop.

Last year i orded my wedding dress and 2 bridesmaid dresses from here. as soon as i saw my dress i knew i had to have it, that is the reason i bought it. if id have known i would have had so many problems now, 3 week before my weeding i wouldn't have bothered. The ladies who work in the shop are rude and stuck up. They don't make u feel comfortable or relaxed when u go in. all they are bothered about is taking your money. and yes it is a bussiness but people like that dont deserve anyones custom. i spent over £1000 pund in that shop and regret every penny. My account was paid off along time ago. the other 2 dresses were seperate, (i wasn't paying for them) and when i asked for my tiara. which was PAID OFF IN FULL, i was told i wans,t allowd to take it because the other account wasn't paid off. they knew from the start we were paying seperatly but put everything on the same paper. i then went for my first fitting 3 week before the wedding day and the dress needed altering. when i first went into the shop i got told the first alteration would be free then any after that would be at a charge. i have now been told it is going to cost £120 to do the alterations and they said they never said they do the first one for free, but they did. They then said it doesn't matter becasue its ages untill the weeding so why am i panicing, i dont think that 3 week is a long time so thats why i was panicing as i know have to find someone els to do the alterations because i refuse to put another penny in their hands. One lady alos then said 'well dnt worry because it doesn't take 2 minutes to turn a dress round', SO WHY WAS IT GOING TO TAKE THEM 2 WEEK TO DO MINE... JST TO GET MORE MONEY. they said the hem need taking up which i donth think you should be charged for. they take your height at the start.

I strongly advise ppl to stay away from BRIDALL AFFAIRS IN ROTHERHAM AND ITS STAFF if you want to want to be as stress free as possiable on the lead up to your wedding. You have enough to deal with as it is. I wouldn't buy a toilet roll of these ladies and you would need one as they are full of s**t!!!

bought my wedding dress here ready for my wedding september 2011 went 2010 to buy and the lady was very nice and helpful, picked up my wedding dress july 2011 and the two ladies there were shocking rude had also miscalculated my storage fee and then tried to tell me I was wrong they fetched my dress out threw on a nearby sofa and said there it is and then proceeded to watch me struggle to put it into the protective bag what a complete shower of s@*# especially when this is supposed to be a momentus occasion thanks for nothing , it seems to me that once they have made their sale they couldn't give a flying monkeys about you afterwards, no wonder Rotherham town centre is a dump and closing down steadily !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
