Do Not Touch It With A Bargepole!

Triplosimac EVT 500 purchased 5 years ago as we had new stone floors with underfloor heating and 3 dogs - thought it would be worth the exorbitant price. Many of the brush attachments soon started to wear out, bend etc. presumably due to constant steam heat, also extending tubes wobbly all over the place and keep disengaging in mid-steam. Hose has now lost its glue and has detached at both ends. Now no power to trigger or handle - something has come adrift. It is so heavy stairs are out of the question for most people. Good capacity in both tanks and refills easily. Steams and vacuums floors well but time saved in cleaning the floors is taken up by the time it takes to clean the machine, which cannot be left dirty under any circumstances! Have already had this repaired (£160) as water got into the switches, but did not last more than a couple of uses before failing completely.

Great idea spoiled by rubbish workmanship - I hate to say it but the Germans would have done it so much better! Anybody want to buy mine for spares??

Simacs Are No Relax!

I bought a SIMAC Triplosimac EVT500 online direct from Italy.

It arrived quite quickly, looked very nice and came with a box load of attachments.

The vacuum is powerful, but it never produced steam from the moment it arrived.

I contacted the supplier but his help amounted to nothing, and I could not get it looked at in the UK.

It was a while ago but I paid around £360 for it and it must rank high amongst my all time worst buys.

The only reason I give it one star is that this review does not allow zero ratings. All sub-ratings such as ease of use, durability etc. are not applicable as it was never used.

I have the evt400 machine. In the first year it went to be repair. This machine cost £320. A total waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this too my worse enemy. Can't even get the thing repaired .

A Disaster. I Bought This Machine At Inflated Cost

A disaster. I bought this machine at inflated cost from allergymatters.co.uk (a firm which I would energetically not recommend) having been led to believe that I was buying something of very high quality. I later discovered that I could have bought the same machine for £200 less had I ordered the Triplosimac from Italy.

This Is Just About The Worst Product I Have Ever B

This is just about the worst product I have ever bought. I don't have anything good to say about the company who sold it either.

After A Bad Experience With Evt 100 I Agreed To Pa

After a bad experience with EVT 100 I agreed to pay the difference and upgrade to an EVT 500. The problem with this machine was the same as the EVT100 but worse. No steam at all reached the end of the hose but escaped through the connection with the main machine. So two machines and a spare hose later I have given up on this company. The only saving grace with the company we dealt with in Italy, which I cannot praise enough.
