Generally Pleased With The Product But Support And
Generally pleased with the product but support and updates could be better and for a longer period. Fairly easy to use and in 2 years I have not been let down once yet. I have used it in the UK, France, Italy and Spain.

I Was Slightly Dubious About Mitac Mio C710 As Its
I was slightly dubious about Mitac Mio C710 as its nothing like as well known as others. It does offer very good value in this version with all Europe maps ready installed, with no cards to lose. It also has TMC installed and this is effective too. The supplied quick start instructions are just that-the full printed versions (2) fill an A4 ring binder file with a whopping 170 pages!
Despite the various shortcomings it does the job and is reliable, but some might find the menu system irritating. This is a quality piece of kit. Contrary to other reviews I was able to change the voice-several are available. The auto re route if you do go wrong is instant and very good.
A calculated route gives you a distance and journey time, but the latter is optimistic, as it seems to use an average speed of about 60mph-an option to insert a lower speed would be good
The screen is clear, very informative, and easily visible in daylight.

Avoid This Product, When It Works It Is Fine, But
Avoid this product, when it works it is fine, but when it breaks down you can experience the worst customer support you can imagine, and you will have to pay for the privilege to tell them the product does not work. My C710 has been repaired twice in last month and still does not work as it should.
I found this review helpful because his/her experiemce might explain why the Mio brand isn't popular. I've read reviews of others in that series, whch also were mostly negative. Glad I got a Tomtom.

Overall, It Is A Very Good Device, And It Is Small
Overall, it is a very good device, and it is small enough to carry in your pocket once outside your car.
The Mitac Mio C710 sat nav system is actually called DigiWalker. It has a lot of functions to explore. Just a few minor setbacks, alternative voices, user defined "quick button".

I Also Own The Older Mio 269+ Sat Nav, This Mio C7
I also own the older Mio 269+ sat nav, this Mio C710 works well but Mio will not upgrade the maps.
It also has a much nicer female voice instead of American 'Jason' or the supercilious British 'Thomas'
