I wouldn't have thought to leave a review for this, but spotted it along the sidebar and so had to let people know just how great it is! I have used EVERY type of fake tan, believe me, but I don't like that tacky orange look.. I'm aiming for a natural, just back from a great holiday glow. I also hate the smell and mess of most self tanners, which really puts me off. So when I tried Xen Tan, I was in heaven. Really easy to apply, beautiful colour and absolutely NO biscuit smell. It also comes out olive instead of orange which makes you look far more natural. I also got a free mitt when I bought it, which was really helpful. (Don't know if that is standard, but I was very happy with it!).

I was pretty impressed with this lotion. I was a little nervous after reading some reviews...but from my experience it has been wonderful! There was no streaking, (I did use my hands to put on the lotion...but scrubbed really well after and they turned out just fine). My skin is fair, and normally will turn that yucky orangish color with other self tanners. This gave me a brown color - exactly what I was hoping for! I think it is WELL worth the money. I am one happy customer! :)

i cannot stand the smell of other self tanning creams but this one you get a nice smell straight away and next day you can smell a tiny bit but not much. I have had no streaks when. Use the MIT as I don't apply much and keep going over rubbing the same bits in. I don't use that much either but top up every 5days

I have used xen tan dark lotion for 3 maybe 4 yr now , I am soooo pale (like a ghost) I love the colour after first application but once guide colour is washed off I need to apply another coat :( I have never bought another fake tan since I tried this! It smells gr8 at first but as it develops you can start to smell the dreaded fake tan smell,its not too bad tho and after first shower you cant smell it. Aplication is easy with their mitt ,if you find it hard to apply with the mitt and feel it going streaky,it could be the bodywash u use as some body washes leave oil on the skin and oil makes a barrier for fake tan and it produces a streaky tan! This happened to me when I used dove , I changed to baby soap and NOW GET IT STREAK FREE! I use make up sponge on feet ,ankles and hands with half moisturiser and half tan on it! Overall a great fake tan just a bit pricey and the colour could be darker!

I can't believe how good this is! Been meaning to try this for a while but its never in house of fraser or debenhams near me so I eventually ordered online. I am a fake tan addict - I usually use St Tropex or fake bake...I am totally converted and will be buying this from now on. I shopped around on the internet and got the larger bottle £7 cheaper than the official website including delivery. The lotion is slightly tinted, not as dark as other products but enough to see where you've applied. I used a mitt to apply and am really pleased with the result, it looks much more natural than other tans i've used. As for the smell it's really nice when you first apply but as it develops you do get a slight whiff of the normal fake tan biscuit smell, but nowhere near as bad as other self tan i've used. I sound like I work for them - just excited, not often that products live up to the hype.

Have used fake-tans since they were first produced and have tried everyone. Xen-tan is by far the best. Thicker than other ones which makes applying easier, smells like Almond but when washed off there is no after-smell. Can be used on face and body, making it better than buying multiple bottles. Leaves the skin silky smooth {Even on me at 58yrs.} Lasts longer than its rivals eg St.Tropez. The colour is fantastic even on fairer skins, natural olive colour.I have also tested it next to 10 other brands and it was the best by a long way. Quickly dries so you don't have to 'Hang-around' half naked for very long. I recommend this tan 100%. Don't take my word, TRY IT. X

Xen-Tan Dark Tanning Lotion. Love this product. As with all tanning products it can come out quite dark on your knees, elbows and face but as long as you are careful with these bits you will be rewarded with a fantastic natural tan that doesn't look orange like so many people do these days. I usually do my whole body to my neck and wrists, then use moisturizer with what's left on my hands and put in on my face and ears, wash my hands thoroughly with soap and a nail brush to get the tan off my palms, from under my nails and in between my fingers, then use cotton wool and moisturizer to evenly spread it over my hands making sure to bend my fingers so as not to have White knuckle wrinkles and blend it in with the wrist colour.
All in, lovely colour :-)

I brought this product a few weeks ago and really love it! Im very pale skinned with blonde hair and didn't want to end up looking like an umpa lumpa! Im pleased to say this product has gave me a nice olive tan rather than the horrible orange tan. I would definitely recommend Xen Tan to anyone who wants a natural looking tan. I found it really easy to apply, it went on smoothly and left me with no streaks or patches. I found it much easier to apply compared to Fake Bake.. Fake Bake always seemed like a chore to put on. I just make sure I exfoliate really well before putting any fake tan on, I have been using the Xen Tan exfoliater with exfoliating gloves and a nail brush on any hard skin such as my feet. This product is a bit pricey but I would rather spend my money on something which gives me the effect I want.. I think that you pay for what you get and paying more for this product has given me the tan I want. So glad I tried this product!

i'm very very very pleased with the results of my xen-tan lotion :) although i read online that it was difficult to put on, i didn't find it that way in the least. if you make sure you apply it to DRY skin, it spread on extremely smoothly and has a rich lovely almond smell. although most tanners claim they don't smell, and fair enough - as you apply them and for about an hour afterwards they don't. but when you wake up the next day they usually WREAK of the tell-tell tan smell.

i have previously used st tropez spray bronzer; which i recieved in a gift box with tan intensifier, body scrub and a application mitt. for £20 on ebay i purchase a 236ml bottle of xen-tan dark lotion, application non- latex gloves, a 5ml (although this was quite disappointing as it was only a lip gloss style tiny pot) facial tanner & an application mitt. pretty good for the price i thought.

i think overall - there is no comparrison. i have used loads and loads of different tanners from st tropez to lancome to boots own make...and they're all okay, but NOTHING compares to the consistency and smell and overall outcome of xen-tan. definitely one to buy ladies. 5/5 xxx
