Rififi Nightclub Staleybridge And My Personal Experience
what can i say, due to this place myself and my friends had the worst night ever! the sleazy bouncers 1 in paticular akeel ahmed slept with my friend and numerous others! she caught an sti from him and then she found he was married like the rest of the doormen! i suggest that rififi take a look at who they are employing.. the second time we went we caught the named doorman performing certain acts in the toilets with drunk ladies, we complained.. he was warned.. we were then barred..! my friend was devastated.. ladies i suggest that you stay away from the doormen at this s**t hole! unless you want to be riddled with hiv and other STI's! would not reccomend this as a night out to anyone! absolutely horrendous! was also very expensive.. mostly this place was full of coked up women and has little class! wont be going here again.. neither will my friends.. very very dissapointed! :-(

Rififis, Stalybridge, Looks Good And Would Be At H
Rififis, Stalybridge, looks good and would be at home in Manchester city centre - you also dont stick to the floors which makes a change for Stalybridge bars and clubs! It has the best beer garden in bridge by a long way. Music is top at the weekends. As it used to be an old cinema the entrance is a bit small but once in you can go downstairs to the RnB room. Cocktails are pretty good, but a bit pricey, try them out on the 2-4-1 nights! The bar is nice with lots of seats and the way out to the amazing beer garden. This has to be one of the best beer gardens in the north, it comes complete with fountain!Upstairs is the main club room where they play dance music. The DJ always gets the crowd going and you can expect it to always be busy and a good atmosphere.Probably the best thing about this place is that they actually put stuff on, not just expect people to come in. They have had acts from Hollyoaks to Right Said Fred. There is always someone famous or a good act either on or coming up! Some of the other places in town don't ever put anything on and it gets boring. Rififi is always doing something new.At the end of the day Rififi has been in the town for years, and as far as I am aware has always been busy. Some say its a bit pricey but my saying is "you get what you pay for". Drinks are about the same a Pavillion or Pad, but you do have to pay in. I don't think thats too bad for a local club as good as this. Sometimes you have a long queue to get in and then occasionally queue to get upstairs! £7 after 12 on a Saturday is a bit steep.

I Went In Rififi's A Few Fridays Ago For The First
I went in Rififi's a few Fridays ago for the first time (I have managed to avoid going in until then, but the girls I was out with wanted to go in and so I had to tag along). It cost £4 to get in and the drinks are definitely on the expensive side. In addition, which I found an absolute insult, is when we went to the toilets there was hairspray on the counters for you to use, which I thought was a nice touch and of course justified the enterance fee a little more. My hair was tied up, so I had a quick spray of my fringe and a girl who was sat on top of the sink counter said 'that will be 50p please'., I have been to a lot of bars and restaurants in the past, that you do not have to pay to get in and they still have complimentary hair spray, deodrant and even perfume for you to use, so I certainly did not expect to be charged.
The final insult was as you cannot get a signal on your mobile phone in Rififi's and we needed to make a call as we were supposed to be meeting another friend, we asked one of the bouncers if it was okay to just stand outside whilst we made a call. He said yes, but when we tried to go back in after standing right next to the bouncers and making the call, they said that all 3 of us had to pay £4 again - I can safely say that I will NOT ever go in Rififi's again - even if my friends are going in, I think that I will choose to stay in The Pavillion over the road on my own than give them any more of my money. Needless to say, we did not go back in - we did in fact go over to The Pavillion instead.

I Only Ever Go In Rififis After I've Finished Work
I only ever go in Rififis after I've finished work at the weekends. It's not my nightclub of choice. I'd be quite happy staying in Pavilion, the bar across the road.
However, if everybody else is going in you can't say no!
Rififis (Or riffraff for those who are familiar with it) is a big place. It's built where the old cinema used to be in Stalybridge. It costs £7 to get in after 12 on a Saturday night (that's a least 2 drinks). You walk up some stairs and come to a bar area and the R&B music section. The music isn't too bad downstairs. With quite a lot of chart music, it's familiar, and so you can have a dance and sing along. Upstairs is the bigger area with a proper dance floor and two bars. However, you may have to queue to start with to get upstairs - on busy nights! When you're allowed upstairs, you are greeted with a mammoth dance floor and people who stand near the doors and always look to the doors to see who's just walked in. The music upstairs is not quite my taste, but if you like your dance music then you will love it upstairs.
However, If you are going on a night out here, be prepared to spend a small fortune, as not only is it expensive to get in, but the drinks cost an arm and a leg (stick to shots if you know what's best for you)!
I don't mind Rififis, but that's because I don't tend to go in very often. However, if I went there every weekend it would drive me mad. It's fun when you're drunk because you forget about your surroundings and the pretentious people around you. My advice, stick to Pavilion across the road. It's free to get in, the drinks are more reasonably priced and the music is better. However, give me indie night in Manchester any day!
