Just returned from a holiday in Norfolk during which we spent a disappointing evening trying to find a restaurant in High St, Lowestoft, at 6pm on a Monday evening. In the end we ended up in the Royal Bengal mainly because it was the only house that appeared 'operational' at the time. The focus is quite clearly the take-away customers at the expense of the in-house clients.
Every single request took an age to honour: drinks, starter, main meal and even the bill. With only one other table occupied (and those persons receiving the same treatment), I finally 'lost it' when the main course arrived minus the Pillau Rice. Needless to say it also arrived 10 minutes after it was requested.
Try to avoid this place until they decide to employ more and better waiting staff.
As a postscript, both myself and wife were ill after the meal! Was it the food? Who knows?
