“Not our first and not our last”

There's plenty of hate from people whose cars had had faults but be realistic were buying used cars the difference being is that when things do go wrong this company do all they can to put it right. We have had 4 cars as a family with our latest being from the Leeds one which is by far the best almost round experience we've had, no hassle, the price is fixed which means no surprises, the part x price we had was fair (checked with autotrader) we always buy knowing we are buying a used car which helps when choosing, don't go with over the top expectations and you'll be delighted. The driver (no names allowed) was great and very patient with my needs then introduced me to his manager (G) who completed my order and arranged collection. I was called the day before collection to be told they needed more time to tidy the body which was good knowing they wanted things right before I paid. I then collected from the collection team where I did have a few queries with a warranty I bought this time which I never did before, the young collection girl was unsure but asked her manager next to her to come over who answered everything I threw at him which was reassuring that we had made the right choice. The car looked well presented in the area outside and all in all we are happy with no issues following. And one nice touch was that when (G) saw we were in to collect he came over to wish us enjoyment of our car as did the young girl and manager when we left showing a human touch to a large company. Little things matter nowadays. Our advice when buying 1.They sell USED cars so don't be picky and you wonto be disappointed 2.No hassle from pushy salesmen so take time to look 3.don't be afraid to ask questions 4. Always find a couple you like 5. Take some change for tea and coffee because after walking around Leeds you'll need a cupper it's huge 6. Plan to stop for fuel after because you don't get a full tank but this was explained by the collections manager but would have made it even better. We can't recommend Available Car enough and the new one in Leeds was great.

“Very very pleased ”

We've pick up our car yesterday and we are very pleased with it so far so good... from when we walked in the staff were very good and helpful the car we had had a few things wrong with it when we looked at it they put very thing right before we had it I was very happy with what they done to it I think they did more than enough. ..and that as got to be good for me to say that .. out of 10 I would give 10 if they treat all the customers the same way that they treated us they can't go wrong .... many thanks to the salesmen, he couldn't do enough for us ... I would go there for a car again

“Fantastic service and after care.”

i was a little dubious about buying a car from available car, but I feel I need to post a review as the service they have provided was outstanding! We felt no pressure to buy at any point, we were encouraged to buy a car suitable for our needs rather than the more expensive version we were looking at. The sale process was smooth with no problems. It is however the after care I have been blown away with, there is a 3 month warranty on these cars, unfortunately after 4 months ours developed a fault, this was no problem, available car Sutton in Ashfield who looked at it repaired it and gave us a curtesy car cost free. The fault reappeared again at 6 months, this time available car have taken the car back and done a thorough fault find and repair, again at no cost for ourselves for something which would be expensive if we had used our usual garage. They were under no obligation to do this and had told us when we bought it the warranty was 3 months. A large company like this which goes over and above what they are expected to do and provides fabulous customer service should be praised, I highly recommend them and their customer service and would not only use them again but recommend my family and friends to use them. 5 stars

“Easy way to buy a car”

Needed a replacement car fast and had started to look around and decided I wanted a ford galaxy looked at one on a dealer forecourt as I was passing and I wasn't impressed so looked on the web some of sites I looked at didn't fill me with confidence and I was feeling that they were denying the cars condition or what repairs had been carried out I then found available car and was immediately impressed with the online report on the car and the list of smart repairs that had been done to the vehicles that I was looking at plus they had about 15 galaxy's at the site (castle Donnington) that I wanted to go to On arrival I was impressed by the site so went in we we're greeted and told how it works this I liked NO SALESMAN FOLLOWING YOU AROUND OUTSIDE (great) find what you like go back inside and tell them the car(s) that you are interested in / want to test drive Off we went to look unmolested and headed straight for the first galaxy I saw spent a fair bit of time in this car with the bride as she was not convinced that a galaxy was the car we wanted having introduced her to the galaxy we were off looking at other galaxy's hopping from one to the other comparing trim levels colours and wheel styles manuals and automatics found one that I seemed to keep gravitating to I was liking this car but while we were jumping from one Galaxy to another we were looking at other people carriers and some 4x4 cars That I had been interested in in the past these all started to fall out of favour as you can keep things fresh in your mind then go to another make / model and confirm how you feel then go back to the other car for more confidence in your choice plus you speak to others I was now 90% sure of the car I kept gravitating to I was chatting to another couple when the husband said to the wife there goes the car you like going out for a test drive I looked my car was still there I was off like a shot inside to secure my test drive We had a chat with the salesman while the car was got out the row it was parked in and fitted with trade plates ready for our drive On our return I wanted that car sat back down with the salesman and bought it It was so simple no pressure no haggling no pestering while looking at the cars plus being able to compare so many different cars at the same time so glad I went and just a few days later I went back and drove away in my Galaxy that was five months ago and I am still loving my available car

“Go and see for yourself”

I needed a new car and after some searching using the car websites, settled on a VW Golf TDI Match. I found a car at Available Car (AC), the only problem was I was in Hampshire and the car was at the Castle Donnington site. I registered on the AC website and requested a test drive for the following Saturday. This was at 2100hrs, by 2130hrs I had a call back from a chap who wanted to know if there was anything else he could help me with, I asked about the car history and he read me what he could from the system. I asked for a call back the next day as I wanted to find out more about the car's condition and importantly if it had been owned by a smoker. The following day I got a call, asked my questions and was confident in the responses. At this point the guy I was talking to offered me the option to reserve the car with £100 refundable deposit so I said yes to ensure I didn’t lose it. I was also told the car would be serviced, have a new MOT and be valeted ready for me for the following Saturday and given a choice of appointments, I chose 0930. During the week I started trying to find out more about AC, I looked at the YouTube videos around the way they prep the cars and was reassured, however later in the week I came across the reviews I’ve read on reviewcentre and was really put off. The more I read the worse I felt but I decided that often people only comment if they love or hate an experience, the people who generally have a good experience may not take the time. As Saturday came around I was feeling less sure again but I decided to make the trip as I was seeing a friend on route – I’m so pleased I went! I got to the Castle Donnington site and was greeted and asked to take a seat in a spotless sales centre, after a short while I met the chap I’d talked to on the phone and he showed me the car, all good until I saw the bumper loose on one side – my heart sank as I immediately thought it had been in a bump. I asked about this and was told it would probably pop back in, I was sceptical to say the least but encouraged to have the test drive and then if I wanted to take that car they’d get the body shop/smart repair guys to take a look. The test drive was good, loved the car (very clean inside) when we got back I asked them to see what could be done before I made my final decision, meanwhile I asked to see the paperwork which was made available. About 20mins later the car was ready to see, honestly you’d never know, it turns out AC tend to remove the front bumper to re-spray them for any stone chipping so that they are in retail condition, I was really pleased. Cargiant please take note – this is how you prepare cars and look after customers!! I spotted a couple of other niggles, a lose piece of carpet and a small stain on a side of one of the seats, again this wasn’t a problem and for the inconvenience of waiting for the car I was given some diesel – nice touch. At this point I made my decision to take the car... The paperwork was all straightforward, the service history more detailed than I had expected (I had chosen an ex Motability car that AC has said would not have a stamped service book but it did which was really reassuring) and refreshingly no hard sell on Gap or Warranty and I even got a 3000mile or 3mth warranty, a great gesture for peace of mind. I drove away really happy, I’ve now done 1000miles and the car is great. I don’t usually comment on these sites but now feel more than ever that they polarise opinions, mine was positive as you can see so I thought I would post to encourage people to try AC for themselves.
