Frustration is just not strong enough. I have a business that operates out of Mount Gambier (SA) and we have recently opened an office in Adelaide. This means we frequently have staff travelling between the two locations. It is now to the point of ridiculous. OK so today I go to book a flight for just over 3 weeks time: My options: One flight there and one flight back This is a Tuesday - a usual business day. THE PRICE? $413.00 ONE WAY! $1.095/km This is a 377km flight. And the return flight? cheapest i can get is $303. So I do a comparison for a similar distance flight on REX Sydney to Dubbo - 303km Same dates 5 flight options over and 5 flights back $136 each way ONLY $0.448/km SYD-DUBBO return (inc taxes and GST) $273 ADL/MGB return (inc taxes and GST) $716 You can't tell me this makes sense. Service is OK but for $1.095/km I would expect first class - wouldn't you?

To be honest, you forget that Rex-Regional Express is a low cost airline servicing the regional areas of Australia (a feat in itself), and you are not going to avail yourself of the comfort on board a B737.
The planes may be small, but they get you to your destination safely and with a great big smile from the flight attendant. I did have a problem with the delay of the flight, but this was due to fog and not the equipment, and to their credit they did keep us informed every step of the way (Qantas should take note and learn).
