Yamaha YFL-480H

This is basically just the student model flute but made of all silver. If you are going to spend this kind of money one a flute, then look at the 500 series where the headjoint is handcut and even though the body is not solid silver, it has had more care taken over it than the 400, or better still, try another make like Miyazawa or Altus, where, for this price you may not be able to get solid throughout, but the craftsmanship is much better than the Yamaha 400 series.

I love this Yamaha YFL-480H flute. I purchased mine barely used, at 1500$, which is a steal, but new models don't run you up any more than 2000$ (I'm fairly certain, depending on your area and where you are purchasing from, there's a good chance that I'm incorrect). It's a pleasure to play, and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have the big dollars to shell out for a professional model flute.
