We selected our accommodation, booked and paid a deposit approx six months before travel . About two weeks before departure we are advised that the apartment owners had chosen not to rent the property , and we were offered an alternative in a completley different area to where we were booked ,and no where near where we wanted to be , but we were told this was all that was available as it was busy !! Not our fault !!!!

We were emailed the details of the alternative accommodation and a link which plotted the location of the property , and information on distance to various places . As we had no other alternative we had no choice but to accept the change .

On arrival we were met by taxi and taken to the Rome city apartments office , to collect the keys and pay the balance of the accommodation ( this in itself is not ideal , especially if you are not staying anywhere near here with all your luggage) . The taxi driver took us to the address given to us by the office . The apartment itself was clean and tidy in a large block .

Things then got worse , we took a walk to St Peters from the accommodation , this was accordngly to the map attachedment only a 15 mins walk , this was about 25-30 mins walk , it was shown as half and hour from the Pizza Navona , it was at least one hours walk, and no where near that shown on attached map !! .

As it was a bank holiday weekend and we left on the Monday we were unable to contact the company but have written to them on our return , to date we have not even had an acknowledgement( we have been back one month) .

I would never use this company again... you have been WARNED ..

When I booked an apartment I was looking forward to it, but my experience was better than my expectations. The Apartment was very clean, nice furnished and kitchen was fully equipped for reasonable price. The Apartment had good accessibility by public transportation and was in good area. We appreciated it very much because we came by train. The are was not only good but perfectly calm. There was almost no noise at day and at night at all. When I go there again I would like to stay in the same apartment if it is free. I will recommend it to everybody who want to have a nice stay in good accommodation in Rome.

I strongly recomend this company. At first it was some problems in communication by mail, but finally we were very satisfied with their services. Apartment is very large, cozy and equipped well. Localisation is absolutely perfect (the very center of Rome, near Piazza Navona). The apartment has everything what we need: TV, kitchen, fridge, plates, cutlery, pots, hairdryer, heating. The office where we got the keys is close to the Termini station. We haven't to pay a deposit (200€). Everything was perfect.

In the august we stayed in Poppea2 apartments. We're really loved it. It's located very close to best places for tourists in Rome. We traveled by car and found apartments in few minutes. We felt us there very comfortable like at home. Service was just brilliant. We will check other top apartments of romecityapartments in near future.

My family and I had a very comfortable stay at Royale apartment during our 7 day vacation in Rome. The apartment was easily accessible by public transport to the sights of Rome. It was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The well equipped kitchen helped us in some cooking which was very useful with a child around. Thanks for making Rome so memorable for our family. I've already recommended this apartment to a family member and would not hesitate to book again. Big thanks to Romecityapartments!;-)))

We really loved our stay in Rome in this Stellatta2 apartment. The apartment was gorgeous, comfortable and perfectly clean. The kitchen was stocked with every necessity. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lifts, but this is very common in such ancient buildings and we knew this before booking it so it was not a big deal. The neighborhood is the best one can choose in Rome. Everything you need: grocery store, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants is just there or around the corner. We could have not enjoyed more the week we spent in Rome. The agency representative welcome us warmly and gave us all the necessary information. Highly recommended.

The layout and overall decoration of the apartment was nice. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was small with few utensils provided, no wine opener, no tea pot, no coffee pot. There were no kitchen towels. We were only provided four bathroom towels for a 5 night stay with four people. The apartment provided no wash cloths. There were no instructions on how to use the television set or the washing machine, which for people unfamiliar with Europe was frustrating. They advertise a DVD player, but what they don't tell you is it will only accept European dvd's - if coming from the US this is necessary information. We were told we would be given two sets of keys, but were only provided with one. There was no toilet paper or paper towels or kleenex provided. The apartment is located on the third floor, so there are lots of stairs to get up to the unit. We were not provided any information on parking and anyone who has been to Rome has to understand that parking is exceedingly difficult. It would be very helpful if there had been some directions as to where the nearest grocery store and pharmacy were located - again difficult to find. Also, no maps of Rome were provided, which would also have been helpful. I can't say it was the cleanest apartment I have stayed in and I'm not sure I would recommend this to a friend. Picking up the key at a different location was a hassle and the person was unhelpful. Overall, not impressed.

Stayed in one of the Venere apartments last year. It was described as luxury - what a laugh. Their command of the english language is obviously flawed - they insisted their description was accurate. Very, very basic facilities and the lift never worked. The entrance and stairs were like something out of a tenement. Staff said they would speak with the owner about a partial refund but couldn't resolve the issue before we left. They later offered a credit against a return visit. NEVER again.

The worst bit was the blood spattered walls in all rooms. Obvious sign of mosquito hunts. I spent hours playing 'kill the mozzy' and despite my efforts we ended up bitten from head to toe. Displaying the lumps and bumps to the Rome Apartrments staff cut no ice and didn't result in any action being taken by them.

We stayed in the Elsupremo apartment with rome city apartments back in november. The apartment had been completely renovated and therefore was in very good shape. Everything was clean and well appointed. The location of the apartment also was perfect, as it was a few minutes walk from the vatican museums and it had a metro stop nerby to take us straight to' the spanish steps. Overall a very positive experience that we definetly recommend to other people looping for a comfortable and not expensive place to stay with friends or family.

We booked this Stelletta2 apartment following the suggestion of a friend that had been there two years ago. He was enthusiastic about the apartment, the location and the price. For this reason we were quite relaxed when we booked it and when we arrived we had no surprises. It's true that the apartment is really big and it has also, but only for a decoration purpose, a fireplace that, we thought, is quite unusual in Rome. We took lots of pics of the apartment and showed them to friends when we went back home and they were all very impressed. The place is quiet, with good natural light and well kept. A place we would recommend with no hesitations.
