The unit is mainteneance prone.Service center in chennai, India suggest to replace oil in the pump every three months. But the manual handed over to me at the time of purchase does not indicate this. Charges are approx Rs 400/ for refill the oil.Service centers do not have trained technicians to repair the product in acceptable time frame. Service centers in chennai managed by Hi care india do not even lift the phone to attend the call. Recently the electric cord providing power to the unit was cut. I was not able to replace even the cord. i.e The unit is not user friendly to carry out such a minor repair. I will not recommend this product to buy.

Used to Aquatak Go twice only. The second time the small moulded plastic jet in the end of the lance let go and dissapeared, so it no longer has any pressure.. Looks like a replacement lance is around £35 or so.. Dont think I will be bothering after reading others reviews listing many other problems...

THE EQUIPMENT STOPPED WORKING AND GIVEN IT TO THEIR DEALER HICARE INDIA PVT. LTD, INITIALLY THEY SAID THAT THEY WILL GIVE IT TWO HOURS TIME AND NOW THEY SAY THAT IT WILL COST RS4350 AND ARE NOT ABLE TO GIVE THE BREAK UP OF THE SAME. THE SERVICE PEOPLES ATTITUDE IS NEGATIVE AND AMAZINGLY RUDE. EVEN BEBORE GIVING THEYSAY THAT THERE ARE NO SPARES AND THE COST OF REAIRS CANNOT BE 50% THE COST OF THE EQUIPMENT.

Just thrown my Bosch Aquatak 100 pressure washer away. Broke down just inside the 2 year warranty but I could not get to the dealer outlet in time. (Living in rural Turkey). First the pressure controlled switch broke. Opened up the cheap and tacky case and various bits of plastic packing fell out. The pressure switch had broken off. Very cheap and nasty fitting ... designed to break. I ran the washer for a couple of jobs making very sure that the valve was open and that I switched off before I closed the trigger. We also have very high pressure mains water supply here. The units pump then failed completely. Made in China. I am surprised that Bosch sell products of such appalling quality, they used to have a good reputation. The guy at the shop said that, had I been within warranty, they would get a replacement from Bosch as the machine was not worth repairing and Bosch automatically sent a replacement. They have replaced many. When it was working the machine did a reasonable job, but not enough pressure for tough jobs. The pressure hose is very rigid and constantly has to be re-routed to stop it getting tangled. Accessories are good, but the main unit is garbage. I only used mine about 6 times in 2 years. That is quite a few quid per wash! Do not buy.

Though the product specification seems to be good, the unit is made of very low quality plastic. The unit delivered to me earlier was cracked and was again replaced by a new one, which also cracked in transit. Now I suppose this to be an exactly "China product"

Bought this Bosch Aquatak 100 Compact in January 2008 and was pleased with the accessories and the unit. A bit disappointed that I had to use the brush to get the car properly clean - never having owned a pressure washer before I assumed it would be as powerful as a garage jet wash which you can use more quickly.
If you wear gloves while using it the trigger has a safety lock which gets stuck.
Then after the 4th ot 5th time I took it out the trigger broke and failed to shut off the water properly. It kept pumping and dribbling water.
Hose wasn't long enough to clean a Mini without moving the unit.
Thankfullly Homebase were happy to refund the original purchase.

The Bosch Aquatak 100 Compact has no wheels but it does have a carrying handle which is OK and the machine is relatively light. My gripe is that having been unable to use the machine last year due to the hose pipe ban, something now seems to have seized up inside and there is no water flow. Motor works - but no water jet! I only used it 4 or 5 times in the year when I bought it and it is now outside its guarantee so I will have to take it to the tip - I'm now looking for a replacement. So that's why I have marked this Bosch washer so low on the value for money scale. Generally disappointed.

connection from over head tank through hose /tap arrangement. Drinking water quality. I presume that the material of construction of the pump needs improvement. The domestic pumps used on such water quality provides trouble free operation for long years.
