It doesn't pull my hair like most do and I have very stubborn curly thick hair. I think it's very good

It's cheaply made, the price was 85$. Honestly I should have never bought it, my hair gets caught in the iron plates and pulls it out. It first get a good straight the first time so you have to use it repeated for ech section which will damage your hair more than anything. I wouldn't EVER BUY THKS BRAND AGAIN. I wouldn't even give it to someone so they could damage their hair with this crappy product.

I had recently bought a straightner and at first I thought the product was great it heat up quick and seemed to starighten my hair quickly, but serveral months after using it the coating started to chip off I thought this is just great the store couldnt help me and I would have to pay to send it back. I then called the customer services number awaiting to be told that I would have to return it and go without a straightner but the customer service agent was so nice she sent me one righ away so that I wouldnt have to be without. She also explained the reason why this would happen it made complete sense. thank you if it wasnt for the service I wouldnt have recommended this product.

i hate them. i got them for about £20 in a sale and would take them back if i could. i like that they are light, heat up quickly and have a long cord (even though they heat up quick, you have no way of telling if they are fully heated and there is no heat wheel that ive seen) but straight after i straighten my hair it goes wavy again and recently i can see the red heat coming through the silver finishing.
at first i thought they would be good but i was thoroughly mistaken, ive tried every trick in the book to get a better straightness BUT THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

I had a really big and bulky straightener for years and it recently died on me. So when i went to the store and saw this tiny little straightener, i thought it could never do the job like the big plated one. I was so hesitant, but then after weeks of going without a straightener i couldn't take it anymore and bought it. It works amazing! my hair is so smooth and silky after i used it, and it took no longer than 10 mins from plug in to plug out. I have been convinced that bigger is not better!

I have bought so many pairs of straighteners mostly ghd's for years and after my last pair was stolen thought I woud have a change. I love the toni and guy straightener because they are light weight and small so they are easy to store and are good for traveling. Their fast heat up means I am not standing around waiting for them to heat up for ages although you kinda have to guess when they are ready as there is no indicator. My hair is really thick and frizzy and is really hard to straighten and I found it was easy to straighten my hair with these straighteners but noticed that after about an hour or so my hair around my face started to curl under. I would say these straighteners are possibly just as god as ghd's but it depends on your hair type, even with ghd's my hair didnt stay that straighten as well as I would have liked. For those on a low budget I would say these straighteners are a deffinate as they are affordable and often given the salon sleek affect you want as well as keeping your hair colour if its dyed like mine!!!

I bought a Tony & Guy Hair Straigtener a little over one month ago and I am sooooooo not satisfied. If I had the receipt I'd return it. It only turns on when it wants to...sometimes it takes me 1/2 - 1 hour to get it to turn on. It shuts off when it wants to and has recently developed a loud creaking noise as I straigten my hair. What a WASTE of money!!!

I have bought several hair straighteners over the years, but never have I bought one completely to my satisfaction, until I bought the Toni & Guy Super Sleek Straightener. All I can say is PERFECTION!! It heats up very quickly, it straightens perfectly - it takes my medium length, thick layered hair 5 minutes to be perfectly straight!!!! Really good. Highly recommended.

I noticed smoke suddenly and one of the ceramic plates was burning on my Toni And Guy Hair Straighteners. Thank goodness it was not in my hair.

Toni And Guy Hair Straighteners were not as great as i thought it would be. I have only had it for about a month and used it four times but already the paint is peeling off but it is really easy to use it heats up fast.

i have brought the Toni And Guy Hair Straighteners on the 20 dec 08 for only £35 at argos (they were £69.99) these are the tgst2971 sacha mascolo tarbuck black model and come with 25mm ceramic tourmaline plates they have a max temperature of 200c and get to that temp really quickly, they look like the ghd mk3.1b irons, they are really lightweight and the 3m cable is good if you have a mirror opposite side of the room to the socket. they also come with a travel pouch and heat proof mat, i previously owned a pair of vidal sassoon v107uk straighteners they were good for straightening but were hard to curl and didn't go hot enough and after 4 months of use they stopped heating but the lights still came on. to sum it up if you cant afford a pair of super expensive straighteners these really are one of the best alternatives.

I definately recommend this. It's good for any types of hair. It doesn't damage your hair badly either. I use it everyday so i should now. But if you were in the mist of choosing between something like Tony and Guy or GHD's then i would say take the GHD's.

These Toni and Guy Straighteners are absolutely useless.

I bought mine online at a much reduced cost (under £10 + postage) and am quite happy with the product. But I would be sad if had paid full price!

I saw the T&G straighteners on offer (half price! from £79 to £34.50) in a superstore, and I thought they could be something in the range of the GHD ones.
I couldn't find a single review of the product anywhere, so I am posting mine.
I took them out of the box and froze in a silent panic. Are they toys? Can a big name like Toni & Guy afford to produce a cheap product in order to sell it a maximum profit? The first thing you will notice is the terrible finishing of the product. The way a fine layer of silver paint comes off the product everywhere (before any use). The ceramic plates seem cheap also, and the temperature control mechanism is laughable. Surely you would not spend that money on something that looks so bad!
Unfortunately, I didn't try them, as I instantly knew I would not keep them and they went straight back to the store.
You may have noticed how they only use GHD irons in the T&G salons. Now you know why.
