Bought a car from car world today they have a large stock of cars all makes and models and yes some less than perfect but what makes the difference with this car site I'd say is the sales team one that stood out well above the rest is the agent she was helpfull and attentive without pushing if it was do able she got it done smoothly with no fuss. Thanks car world for finding the cars I looked at today. Thanks to agent for the car buying experience that every one is looking for

Reverend a Toyota Prius 2017 with them for £13995. Paid £99 deposit. Was told it’ll be in stock & ready for collection in 10 days. Finance all accepted. Made a 3 hour journey to collect the car on a Saturday morning appointment. The car was polished up awaiting inspection. Bearing in mind this car had only 25k on the clock. The car was a absolute joke. Every single panel had had some paint in its life. Scratches to the doors & tailgate. A dent the of n/s rear door. Front bumper out of place. All 4 centre caps missing from the alloys. So I point all the issues out to the manager. All he kept repeating was, “it’s a 4 year old car,” utterly unprofessional. The car was not to retail standards at all. He tried convince me that he’ll get it all touched-in. But I wasn’t impressed. Had to walk away with a day wasted. Please be careful. If possible ask them for a close up walk around video. I didn’t as I expected them to be a professional car supermarket & took their word for ever they told me.

Bought an SMax that had faults present that were dangerous and should never have passed an MOT. Furthermore, are currently not transferring ownership and taking extra money. Avoid these at ALL costs. Customer service in a joke and they’ve no interpersonal skills. Couldn’t figure out how to tax a vehicle online. Seriously avoid at all costs!!!

“Dreadful amateurs”

Disgraceful. Bought a car that was then delivered in a filthy condition, missing a key and also missing floor mats. Dealership are useless. Customer services manager doesn't understand their own t&c's or the distance selling regulation. Honestly, buy a car somewhere else, its not worth the hassel.

If your looking to buy your next car, I would recommend carworld after purchasing my second car from them and believe it or not I bought my car from the same salesman. Both times I purchased I had no issues and this time I had the car delivered to me. I made a mistake on my last purchase and bought from another supermarket and their customer service was atrocious. Well there is my review, I hope it helps others when buying a car

“After Sales Support ”

I have to high light the person I dealt with who is part of the after sales team at Car World Peterborough. Excellent support - kept me update throughout. No issues with the car all brilliant - I had been advised there would be a tyre inflation kit included in the sale. In my excitement at collecting the car, I didn't check the kit was in the car. On arrival to my home I contacted Car World and was advised no problem. He  was true to his word and I have received the kit today - many thanks Car World. Many thanks to him.

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS!”

Purchased a car on finance 2 weeks ago. Car was faulty from the get go. After driving it for 5 minutes the acceleration wasn't working and the engine fault light came on, took it straight back. He told me to bring it back the next day and continue driving the faulty car! Brilliant! Took it back the next day and got a courtesy car. This was fine until it broke down with battery issues a week later. At this point my car still hadn't been fixed so had no car to get to work. The next day my car got brought to me on the back of a recovery vehicle in the middle of the day. Apparently it had been 'intensively tested' and it was working after an issue with the boost sensor. Drove it for 40 minutes to work, fine. Several hours later drive it home, engine fault light comes on and off again twelve times. Intensively tested, what a joke! The same day i received my 'fixed' car it got swapped for yet another courtesy car. At this point i was quite rightly asking for compensation. Was told by 'aftersales' to email and say how much compensation i wanted. I did this, asked for my first months car payment to be covered, also the cost of the petrol i put in the courtesy car that broke down and also the wages for the half day i missed of work due to the car breaking down and them not being able to recover until the next day. Basically been told i'll get a full tank of diesel and that's it. 'We're going through a pandemic and aren't far off closing'. Not surprised with the awful service! Do not go here. They couldn't care less. Salesmen make you wait around for ages. It's unhygienic (same half drank cup of water sitting in the same place on the Monday and Tuesday we went). The cars are awful and not worth the price. Aftersales team are horrendous, couldn't care less and no matter how many times they tell you they will call back, they won't. These aren't even half the issues i had. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

“A untrustworthy company. ”

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They sold me a car which they knew was faulty. Every time I ring to complain about the car they say that a 'manager' will phone me back, but no one does as they know that the car they sold me was a faulty one! They are unprofessional. The car has broken down and I have had it less than a month! its now being repaired. I was told by the garage that there are so many faults on this car and they should of not sold it as they did. A disgraceful company! taking advantage of people especially in times like these.

“Dangerous..”

Don't bother with these lot. All well and good when selling you the vehicle, spent near to £11,000 on a car with them last week. Sold with a bald, illegal and dangerous tyre, provided pictures and a report of the illegal tyre and asked for it to be replaced from the 'aftersales' team and was met with nothing, he didn't even bother contacting the workshop about the issue. Had to chase for a week when emails and calls were ignored, a useless employee in aftersales, who can't long be out of school, was dismissive and unhelpful. Even the wrench monkeys at kwik-fit managed to immediately spot the dangerous tyre, so clearly the 'pre-inspection checks' before selling the unroadworthy vehicle weren't done. Also sold with a repainted botched wing which wasn't on the paperwork. And didn't bother sending the v5 off. Beware if you are going to try and buy a car from this place, the initial sale might be swift but any help you need after the transaction is complete won't be forthcoming. Currently contacting trading standards and citizen's advice about reimbursement. Don't be fooled by the fake 5 star reviews either.

“Incompetent and Aggravating Dealership”

CarWorld should have on their website the statement 'Keen to sell will false advertise to do so, chances of warranty paperwork being filed without prompting is slim to none and the after sales are completely incompetent and stressful to deal with.' Buying a car from CarWorld is like setting yourself on fire on a very cold day. You initially feel relieved from the warmth but then you realise, you are actually on fire. CarWorld have made it clear to me that they do not care about consumer rights. They have and will ignore customers who have been sold a faulty product and go to the nth degree to avoid you and avoid allowing you to exercise your legal consumer rights. I purchased a car from CarWorld, the service provided at the time of sale was reasonably alright, nothing to cheer about and nothing really to complain about. The true colours of CarWorld comes to light after you've handed over your money. In less than 30 days of buying the car it broke. The engine warning light came on and the car stop functioning correctly. The RAC assessed the car and found numerous faults, some rather major, but somehow the car magically passed its MOT which was undertaken by CarWorld themselves prior to sale. I contacted the warranty company as I paid for the RAC Premium Plus warranty that CarWorld will try to push you to buy. My advice when it comes to the warranty with CarWorld, do not do it. Get your own warranty separately or get the RAC warrant yourself, why? Well CarWorld failed to register my warranty even though I paid for it! Anyway I digress. The car broke within the first 30 days of owning the vehicle, speaking to the warranty company they confirmed to me that I am covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I then informed CarWorld of the fault and my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I heard nothing back from them until I sent a physical letter. Be warned, numerous emails, phone calls, messenger pigeons get you nothing, I'd recommend going straight for a formal complaint letter, sent in the post via recorded delivery, they are quick to reply when they receive that. Another minor issue (compared to the huge one mentioned above) that I experienced while dealing with the "Home to the UK’s lowest price, highest quality Used Car Supermarket, based in Peterborough" as they put it on their website, was that the vehicle had been falsely advertised, they were marketing a car with parking sensors and it didn't have any. Once this was pointed out to them, there wasn't even any movement on the price even though the car was not as advertised. So in short. Do not buy a car from this company, they will sell you a car and if or when it breaks or has any fault, they will make you jump through hoops by ignoring you, playing ignorant or by ignoring consumer rights even after the facts have been shoved in front of their face. Don't believe their websites claim that "buying or selling your car with Carworld Supermarket is stress-free, easy and enjoyable." To be honest I think I'd have a more enjoyable time and less stress if I stuck my head in a nest of fire ants while insulting the Ant Queen's fashion choices. I've never dealt with such an incompetent and aggravating dealership after sales department.

I'm currently going through the bank with a Section 75 claim but Car World are dragging the processes out as much as they can by providing limited responses to any communication from or to the bank's Section 75 team. Car World seem to usually waiting until the last minute before a given cut-off time or give excuses.
The car has been back in Car World's possession for over 2 weeks yet they still haven't "inspected" it or if they have they are holding tight lipped and still dragging out replying to the bank.

It's now getting close to being over 6 weeks this whole fiasco has gone on for. Cycling to work is getting a bit tiresome and my employer has completely ran out of patience.
It feels like the consumer gets left in the dark to suffer until a conclusion can finally be achieved.

“Very disappointed”

I bought a car on their website and they assured me that ANY problems would be easily resolved. When it was delivered, there were numerous problems including damaged paintwork, tyres and radio. They ignored my emails and phone calls and I have had to claim on the warranty. Not a good experience and I would not recommend them.

“Disappointing ”

I bought my Seat Alhambra,I was very disapointed with fhe customer service. I was left stood around waiting for 2 hours for a test drive, and even when i had agreed to buy the car i had to keep chasing them. They also didnt follow what we agreed woth putting some diesel in the car so i could get to the fuel station it was left so empty it didnt even show on the dash. I am happy with my car but the poor service made it a stressful experience. As a customer paying in full with my family waiting as well i should have been in and out. I would save your time and shop else where. Once they have your money they dont care.

“Don't buy from these people be warned ”

Bought a Mercedes ml in 2017 had problems when driving home , had car diagnosed next day had over 50 faults on it main problem was turbo actuator had replaced under warranty no problem , but it didn't end there car kept loosing power went back to carworld on 2 occasions to be sorted but wasn't , I booked car into main dealer and they condemned it as did two other garages had major issues with wiring loom and a noisey engine , kept asking for a full refund but was told that's not possible had to have a replacement car which I was not happy with , in the end had to get a solicitor involed to get a full refund , BEWARE do not buy from these people total shambles, the same car is up for sale again now so BEWARE

You might as well buy your car off a bloke in the street. As I sit here at another garage wasting a whole day of my previous holiday and waiting for 600 pounds worth of repairs thought I'd write a well intentioned tale of warning. No checks made on car before sold, dangerous state of tyres I discovered weeks later. Not being a mechanic the least they should have done is been honest about what the car needed. In 4 months car been in various workshops inc. CARWORLD, 7 times. And don't trust any work was done at Carworld as problems kept recurring. Don't bother with autoprotect warranty either as the coverage is confusing and the service belligerent and uncooperative. Save your 900 quid for all the repairs you'll have to do if you buy from this archetypal dodgy second hand outfit.

This company would have happily let me drive away with 2 illegal tyres and a chipped windscreen that would not pass an MOT.
I was about to walk away but they offered to rectify these things. How i wish i'f of said no thanks! I went ahead with purchase only to find the car hadn't been serviced, had had damage to the back that had been re-sprayed and heated seats that don't work properly. Had it a month and already out of pocket. They said they would service it but when i spoke to the service manager and he said it would only take 45 mins i decided i'd not bother. He also said he wouldn't be using the correct oil for the car just bog standard stuff. Not a happy bunny!

I recently purchased a Jaguar XF from you and throughout many visits and test drives I always saw the salesman who had considerable knowledge about the three different cars I took for a test drive. He was always patient to explain all the questions I threw at him. He went the extra mile without being pushy but at the same time being very helpful. He would be an asset to any company that chose to employ him and I am sure he will go far in the future. My experience at Carworld was excellent the service was very prompt and the staff were very kind and helpful. We felt that we wasn't under any pressure to purchase a vehicle. They gave us plenty time to make a decision. Any queries we had or question towards the car they were able to answer fully. They made it clear that when it comes to making a car purchase we are fully happy and satisfied with it as this is not a purchase you make every week. This is our second car from Carworld.
