Scotts

Their courier was booked to arrive between 8am and 8pm - a long time to be stuck in doors waiting - the longest delivery window i've ever been given. The most is usually until 6pm.

So, i take a day of work (unpaid) and wait, and wait.... Their customer service is useless, since they can't/won't contact the courier (they apparently haven't heard of mobile phones!!!). They can only confirm that it's out for delivery by looking at the same minimal tracking info that i'm looking at at home.

I didn't arrive and i had to take the following day off. No apologies followed, so i wrote a review on their website describing this fiasco and low and behold Scotts have refused to post the review.

I've written to Scotts to ask why exactly and i'll update this review with their reply, or just as revealingly if they do not reply.

I had to send the shoes back as Scotts neglected to point out that it seems Caterpillar boots are a size bigger than most other brands. However, though such info would make them a good retailer, the lack of it doesn't necessarily make them a bad retailer.

Likewise, one missed delivery doesn't mean all their deliveries are poor - i could be a one-off. Again, i'll update this review to let you know how the next delivery pans out (i've asked for a smaller size to be sent to one of their 'Collect+' sites (local newsagents used as delivery points).

What does make them an poor retailer is their refusal to publish my negative review on their site. I assure you their was nothing inflammatory or obscene, or indeed inaccurate in my review.

So unless they backtrack and post it, it's clear that Scotts only publish glossy reviews, so bare that in mind if you are tempted to shop there.
