“Packaging and transport issues”

Overall I am pleased with the service and selection zooplus provide. However, they really cheap out on the packaging of their products and for that reason I have had to throw quite a lot of trays of wet dog food away because the had split in transport due to rough handling. Ordered several times and had a few issues with yodel deliveries but was pleased to see the option of DPD is available. However zooplus in their infinite wisdom still sent it with yodel and parcel was lost. Had to push for replacement parcel and once in the hands of dpd service was fast. “Why oh Why Didn't I Pay for Parcelforce”

Great prices but awful service from Yodel! I try to avoid any company that ships with Yodel, but in this case, made a huge mistake as my order still isn't here and it's all very frustrating. Zooplus says 2 - 3 days but they don't count the weekend (which is obvious) but I was told today that my 2 - 3 days starts today so it should be here in another 2 to 3 days, which makes 5 in my book. “Zoo plus packaging ”

I've placed three orders which were delivered quickly. Great range of products and good quality cat food which is hard to get anywhere else. However 2 out of 3 deliveries arrived damaged. Tins rolling around dented, no air bags or any other type of protection is inside their boxes to protect the contents. Having googled it appears it is a long standing issue. never had a problem with zooplus, but the last 2 deliveries made by parcelforce and yodel are making me question whether to use them again. both delivery companies lie to get themselves of the hook. i have had to open a dispute twice with paypal, one is ongoing , because yodel have stated that they actually delivered my parcel , which is a outright lie, i have cctv to prove it. to use both of these delivery couriers zooplus are shooting themselves in the foot, and eventually it will backfire… Read Full Review

I had to return an unsuitable item recently and had to pay £8.80 postage charges which is a third of the value. There is no way I could have found out that this pet carrier was unsuitable other than unpacking and trying it out. Any nervous pet would hate this as it took ages to close the doors and you could not keep this carrier steady while trying to pull up/down the zip. “Great Till You Have A Problem”

Have been using Zooplus for 1.5 years now and regular buyer of pet food which has averaged 2 deliveries a month £40-£60 per month spend. I had not experienced many problems at all until now, and had always thought they have been very good. I have the same problem, its been 18 days since my order, i have called them, mailed them, and all i get is promises it will be here in a day, today, but nothing is coming, Yodel have lost one parcel, and i have 2 outstanding orders now that is in 3 figures. I am not happy with this, and i wonder why they use this courier when they know they are not relaible, and i have sent them feedback offf the net re Yodel, but nothng substantial comes back from either Zooplus, or Yodel!

Parcel was eventually replaced and was delivered by parcelforce- within 24 hours. The main problem is with Yodel couriers they are absolutely dreadful. I have since placed 3 other orders with 3 other companies as trials and 2 of the 3 orders have been delivered with no problems but 1 company's (Pet Supermarket) still hasn't even been despatched yet let alone turn up!!!. I have come to the conclusion that I will split orders between a couple of companies so as no to rely on just 1 and If you do order from zooplus-choose delivery by Parcelforce and pay the extra 50p it will save alot of grief.

“Fast delivery, good selection of rabbit food”

I like the JR Farm products that Zooplus sell. The dried herbs come in large bags and are very good value for money. Delivery is usually fast. I only gave 3 stars because Zooplus are still selling rabbit hutches that are far too small. Animal welfare should be a higher priority than money… Read Full Review

I was a bit surprised by all the negative responses on this forum as I have used zooplus regularly for a couple of years with no issues.
However I have encountered a strange issue with them recently. I order a lot of cat litter which comes in two 15kg bags. Parcelforce now refuse to deliver to your home as they marginally exceed their 30kg limit and therefore I have to complete a 20 mile round trip to the sorting office to pick up myself.
