Vernal Walmart was really busy but a guy was going around and checking us out with a mobile thing. It was awesome. Was in and out fast without waiting.

On Wednesday the 18th Dec 2014 my 23year old son and I went shopping at the Walmart store # 2809 in Buckhannon, WV. I nor anyone else in our family will ever set foot in that store again, and as a direct result of their actions we will avoid all other Walmart stores as often as possible. It was about 2:20 pm when we got to the checkout. We had picked up some Christmas decorations, some baking supplies, other food supplies, several Blu-Ray discs, a 12 pack of Coke, and a 12 pack of Coors. Total order was expected to be around three hundred dollars which would have been in line with most of our Walmart visits. The cashier asked if my son was of age. I assumed she meant legal drinking age and I responded with an affirmative. She then informed me that he needed to show her ID to prove that he was of legal age or she couldn’t sell me the beer. I questioned her request because it seemed ridiculous. She told me that if he was not of legal age then I might allow him to drink the beer when I left the store and based on that Walmart policy does not allow her to sell me the beer. This implies that a shopper with a toddler can’t by beer because the toddler is under age. I told her that that concept is absurd and if that was the case I will walk away and leave all of the items at the store. At 67 I can legally by beer anywhere that it is sold and for her to guess what I might do when I left the store is beyond reason no matter how old the person with me is. The manager overseeing the registers came over and the situation was explained including the fact that my son would not show ID and if they insisted we would leave everything and walk out. His response was “That’s your choice, sir “. WE left everything at the register after showing the ID. Walmart has forgotten that the retail market IS A SERVICE business. The concept that any store employee has the right to guess what I may do when I leave the store and refuse to sell me something that I can legally buy anywhere is ARROGANT, STUPID, and DISCRIMINATORY. At this rate we will soon need to get permission th enter the stores and kneel to their logo. That is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. We don’t need Walmart or their GESTAPO Tactics.

Terrible customer service and im my opinion the food is a lesser quality than other stores like tesco for example. I have purchased 3 tv areals from Walmart/asda in the last week and had to return them because they where faulty got the 4th one else where, it was cheaper and it actually worked! I did however like one thing, leaving the store in bournemouth. I much prefer aldi/lidl/tesco/co-operative/sainsburys. Walmart/Asda is always my last resort because of the poor level of customer service and the shoddy goods!

I find when I need anything from pet food, groceries to blank cd's I can find it all at this store. I've gone to the Johnsburg, IL store many times and always have problems either items are out of stock or impossible to find. This Store in Woodstock, IL always has what I need in stock and the setup makes everything easy to find or if you can't find something a friendly clerk is easy to find and always around to lend a helping hand. Our family shops here 2 to 3 times a week we love using the price match and enjoy our savings we've always had nothing but good experiences at this store location. Thumbs up Walmart Corp. Other stores should take pointers from this store and make everyone have as wonderful and valuable a shopping experience as we always have.

Depends on the area, but for the most part I'm happy with the company as a whole. I've worked for the company and it's a good company to work for. As far as shopping there, it really does just depend on the area because the employees (and customers) are a direct reflection of the area you are in. I've come across some pretty rude and disrespectful associates at a certain Walmart store and at another they are mostly wonderful. As a whole, I still would rate it a 4 star company and will keep going back!

Walmart has always been one of my favorites. It hag great prices, great customer service, and great products. Once I lost my wallet, O looked for it, I couldn't find it. I went to customer service, They said they found it, all I had to do was show them some ID and I just walked away with it
