I am just about to ask for money back .. No sign of the broccoil , no cheese taste and just a lump on chicken in a suace

I was intrigued by the McDougalls claim "better than Birds Eye" so I tried their 4 Individual Chicken Pies.
Whilst I have no intention of claiming their offered refund, I think their claim is so terribly wrong. I must say though that I don't like 95% of todays mass produced products.
To my mind, the best part of McDougalls pies is the pastry. It is the shortest pastry that I have ever come across in a mass produced pie, and most enjoyable. Whilst I have not weighed the amounts of meat in either pie (Birds Eye or any other) - I think the pie does lack meat content,,, at least for a 'meat pie'.
What will put me off of buying this product again is both the smell & the overpowering taste of Peas and vegetable matter. As soon as the pie is opened, I get the aroma,,,, then when I eat it, the taste of peas etc. This also pervades the sauce/gravy, which in my mind, is far too strong for Chicken flavoured meat. This sauce might be acceptable in a beef & veg' pie for instance, but not a mild, chicken flavoured pie. The taste of so much veg' would be acceptable in a meat & veg pie. I do realise that the picture on the pack does show peas & carrot, but it also shows far bigger pieces of meat than is actual, but it is still called a Chicken Pie.

To my mind, most mass produced pies, sausage rolls, flans etc are let down by their pastry -(even local - mass produced Pasties - here in Cornwall). McDougalls have this part beaten hands down - the pastry is great. To turn this mediocre pie into a Winner, would be - in my opinion - a bit more meat & a bit less vegetable & vegetable flavour. I will add here that although I have never used it in my professional cooking, I have no objection to a bit of monosodium glutamate and do sometimes use a bit in my private cooking.
All in all, I find this product no better - or no worse - than 99% of similar items on the market today.
