“Terrible cheating company”

Paid for express delivery and waited 2 weeks for the arrival. Very rude and dismissive emails accepting no responsibility. Try Taste of India Spices on Ebay, they have great products and excellent customer service.

“Bad customer service”

Do not answer calls, service is really bad. Never ordering again. Instead found this company Spiceraks who are good at quality curry products. Fast with free delivery so worth trying to find out for yourself.

“Avoid this company”

Avoid this company, used to be really good but now not, goods not delivered and says refund on invoice but no refund. Incorrect goods and do nothing. Communication difficult with no phone and e-mail they answer about 1 in 10. When you do get an answer they are extremely rude and imply one should not complain, now going through paypal to try and get money back.

“NO CUSTOMER SERVICE”

Order took ages to be delivered even though paid for delivery. Was told 2 - 3 working days took over 10. When item finally received was the wrong item. Paid extra £5.00 for a metal handled server and was sent the cheaper plastic one. I've called and emailed but have had no response from company. The telephone line given is not a manned telephone line.

“expired products with no return possibility”

Extremely poor service. No response to repeated emails. Goods came 3 weeks later and mostly expired rotten stuff that they refused to take back. No response to emails. No number to call. Tried to open a case but they requested me to clain it against postage delivery company. Avoid avoid avoid.

“Worst online experience ever”

I ordered 6 curry powders from this company and waited a month for them to arrive. Worse still, when the order did arrive, 3 items were the wrong items! I have written to them 3 times now with varying degrees of urgency but I haven't even received acknowledgement of my emails or from their online contact form. They are truly shocking and if I could be sure that there was anybody that works their competent enough to open a parcel, I'd send my order right back. I feel aggrieved that 1 star is the lowest I can post as in truth they would be in a negative amount of stars.

Horrible service and very poor customer service. Delivered damaged and torn item and refused to refund. No regard for quality or hygiene standards. Disappointing experience overall. Recommendation - do not buy from these guys.

“Sells out of date products.AVOID”

Ordered 2 tunes of dabur toothpaste and the postage costs more than the product, no problem because that was my choice. However,once I received the toothpaste on 01/11/2017 I noticed the toothpaste had a use by expiry date of 11/08/2017. Some people may think this is trivial but a. I purchase this at full price. b. Thus product as chemicals in the ingredients so this could be dangerous. If this product was listed as out of date I would not have purchased it. Now when you ring them it is an answer machine telling you to contact via email, which I did. The reply,NOTHING. This company sells out of date products. Next step TRADING STANDARDS. Don't purchase from this company if you want what you pay for. BUY FROM ANOTHER SELLER.

“Rotten Produce and appalling customer service”

I ordered fresh turmeric from Slices of India. The product that arrived was rotten. After I complained and sent them a photograph of the goods they gave me a partial rreceipt fund. I explained that woukd be happy to pay for a replacement order but they should pay postage. They replied 'Sorry, no, we supplied goods to our satisfaction. The postage was not free…'. I know it was not free I paid for it and still haven't got what I ordered!

“Very bad service”

I ordered some items and paid almost £5 for 2 - 3 business days delivery. The item arrived after more than a week and one of the items was not what I've ordered. I have emailed them several times asking for a refund but no reply. Very poor/none customer service. I won't use them again nor would I recommend them to someone else.

“Shocking ”

Placed my order online which promptly arrived a few days later. Opened the parcel to discover missing items. Emailed them to ask where the rest of my order was only to be replied with a hmmmm and wanting a picture of invoice for some reason? I sent the picture but didn't hear anymore from them... Hmm

“Dishonest and unprofessional”

Ordered a Kadai pan and paid for next day delivery which costs extra. Received it 8 days later. The phone number for these people is no use as it is only a pre-recorded message. What's the point having a phone number because it's impossible to speak to anyone anyway. Emailed them and told them to refund the extra money I paid for next day delivery and they didn't reply. Totally rubbish company with the arrogance that they can't be contacted about problems and don't reply to emails. These people owe me money. I hope they get justice some other way.

If so if you have a valid complaint just wait a good while from a email response from the "charming" & bizare CEO. He will tear strips of you for daring to complain, insult and ridule you ! SOI will never admit fault and frankly, as others have written, "buyer beware" applies to your purchase. It is not a coincidence it is impossible to reach SOI by phone! There is a thought that they sell certain stock with is suspect in various ways as others have written. All I know is that there is NO apparent after sales and the company should be investigated by Trading Standards !

“Overcharging Rip-off”

I ordered 2 x 500g of Tilda Basmati rice at their list price of £2.45 each. After collecting the order the Tilda packets were clearly marked as RRP £1.99. The book I bought was £7.99...also available at WHSmith for £5.99!! The reply to my email highlighting this overcharging was: "We offered our goods at a price you were prepared to pay." "We will not beholden to price marks the manufacturer tries to enforce on us…" The answer says it all!! I couldn't pay by Credit Card as their Sage system wouldn't accept. Phoning was a waste of time, all calls were answerphone messages. A very unprofessional company and has little concern about customer's views and concerns. Not recommended!!

“I ordered 1kg and received 500g”

I ordered 1kg of Yellow Turmeric from this company but on weighing the bag on arrival, I had been sent 510g. Despite numerous emails, no reply has been received. I have also tried to phone during office hours but could only listen to an answer phone message before being cut off. I will not be using this company again.

“Beware This Rip Off Merchant”

I ordered 4 x cartons of madras curry sauce from this company. When they arrived I was angered to find that all 4 had gone off in 2014 and that one of them was almost empty. I contacted the company via telephone and was told this was impossible as their warehouse checked use by dates on every item they sent out, the person i spoke to asked their manager for advice and I was transferred to a lovely lady who refused to give me her name, she called me a "liar" and said I was trying to rip the company off, i asked for a refund and was told "we don't offer refunds on out of date stock", she told me to "take the company to court" and that they would "fight the case" adding that as a business "we can afford the best in legal advisors", fortunately I recorded the call and am now taking legal advise to see if I can get my money back, but being honest I don't expect to see it again, this company should be closed down.

“Absolutely Diabolical Do Not Use ”

I would strongly advise anybody with half an ounce of sense not to use this company. I bought 6 x packs of 20 insence sticks from their website. Upon delivery of my items I was dismayed to find I had received 6 packs of 10 insence sticks, this equated to only 50% of my order. I emailed their arrogant Customer Service team only to be advised that this was a typing error on their website and the insence only comes in packs of 10. Apparently typing errors are covered in their terms and conditions and I was advised that I will not be receiving the missing 50% of my order, although they did suggest that I could return what I had received at my own cost and they would refund the cost of my order minus the postage. In other words they expected me to pay 2 lots of postage and not have anything in return, they still haven't corrected the typing error and I wonder how many other customers have been ripped off in such a manner, I also wonder how many so called typing errors are on their website. Most companies would send out the missing items but not these guys, don't be a fool, avoid this company like the plague or find a shortfall in your pocket, they are diabolical and give online shopping a bad name.
