Driv3r Is Awesome, It Is Just Like Gta But Just Th

Driv3r is awesome, it is just like gta but just the storyline is more focused on cars. I played the game for over 40 hours, its so fun. open world is awesome, good mission structure, and plenty of extra cars to look for.

This Is What Happens When A Game Is Rushed Through

This is what happens when a game is rushed through development. This game is replete with bugs and glitches. A horribly dreadful game not to be bought, gifted or even rented.

Be warned

First Let Me Say That The Driv3r Xbox Game Is Wort

First let me say that the Driv3r XBox game is worth its price.

You're an under-cover agent working as a driver for gangs in the USA, France and Italy; trying to find out where a large shipment of stolen cars are being delivered to.

I greatly enjoyed the motorcycle driving and the large worlds. It is a lot of fun in the "Take a Ride" part of the game; where you can discover multiple hidden cars (including a Shelby Cobra, GT-40, Hot Rod, Go-Kart, and many more). You can also be involved in cop chases, and just free roam in many vehicles.

Some of the downsides of the game were: The speeds seemed to max out at 50 MPH, although the engine sounded as if it was hitting 150. The shooting controls were very stiff and hard to control. The driving feels like you're in a Mac truck (except on the motorcycle, which I really enjoyed). The in-game graphics are not that good (although the videos are pretty cool), and the music was not all that great.

Overall the game is alright. It has a long story which I liked. The game-play is pretty good. It's a good game to add your library, and it is not that expensive.

There Was Me Thinking That Driv3r Would Blow Them

There was me thinking that Driv3r would blow them all outta the window..oh how I was wrong!

I can't stress enough how badly this sucks...I bought it and returned it the same day I was so shocked - no enjoyment at all...

Controlling your car is like controlling a truck, constant wheel spinning and loud skid noises every time you turn a corner even at 3mph....

Suprisingly cars on the road to steal all look like super fast cars with wierd sounding engines that sound far too powerful for the speed you get in the game..and thats IN the car..

Get Tanner outta the car and you have a nightmare camera/control situation going on where its impossible to really enjoy running around doing anything..There are too many bad points for me to list and I think its at BEST a rental so you can see how bad it is - honestly - one day with this game is enough for you to realise its not worth the money...

A lot of people say that this game has been damaged by the image of GTA series that are 110% user friendly controls and graphics..but I'm sorry this game is beyond sad and I would never enjoy it if GTA was not around...

Atari have never been known to create fantastic recent games so no-wonder...

Thumbs down for me...

Driver 3, Well What Can I Say? An Extreme Dissapoi

Driver 3, well what can i say? An extreme dissapointment. Poor graphics for Xbox standard, boring missions and lifeless gameplay..... all held together with some quite good movie animation which is probably the best part of the game. The glitches are annoying and suprisingly common for an Xbox game. If a little more Grand Theft Auto would have been added it would definately be a higher score

A Perfect Example Of How Not To Make Games, Driv3r

A perfect example of how not to make games, Driv3r is so rife with bugs and glitches that it's hard to find a starting point. When you first begin the game you are oblivious to the problems as they do not impede your progress, but later you find that the world of Driv3r is constructed of what I call sponge-crete, meaning that you sometimes sink into the ground when near the most dense of materials, whilst on a grass and sand which you should mildly sink into you, remain at the same height, constantly. The lack of any A.I for the police or anyone who try to attack makes the game tedious and repetitive, although for the first ten minutes it is rather funny as you shower the police with bullets whilst they stand around or needlessly you duck into a position that would cover you for gunfire if it were at the other side of the road, the only time they ever return fire is if you stray into within five metres of their faces where they will then fire inaccurate shots into your bullet-resistant body. Tanner himself looks and sounds like a crab with whiskey and his personality is one cliche too many for this game, you'd think that Driv3r must have some good points, and since it's in the name they really should have made the driving fun but it turns out to be far too samey.

Another one of the bad points of Driv3r is the absence of correct gravity, a slightest bump on your car will send it into somersaults and corkscrews like it's an episode of Wacky Races but much less entertaining.

Perhaps the most annoying thing about Driv3r is that the level designers' work has gone to waste when he has done such a great job because the world of Driv3r has recently been hit by a biological bomb of some description, leaving only around 25 people to traverse the wide expanse of the city.

Released about a year too early, Driv3r is a example of the lack of effort put into mainstream games.

Driv3r - Well After Playing Gta, Pg2, Rallisport C

Driv3r - Well after playing GTA, PG2, Rallisport Challenge 2 and even the nasty midtown madness...I found Driv3r completely terrible, not a patch on the freedom-inspired GTA or the Glossy graphics of PG2. It is kinda worth renting, but soon got bored after a few hours, plugged GTA back in...I found when driving about that the people, cars and even some of the scenery was so similar, ok so the car crashes are nice, with good damage, and when you shoot someone, there is no blood and they just flop down. The car chases are good fun if you wind up the police, but they seem to just sit on your tail, whereas in GTA they will set up road blocks, send in the SWAT team, etc....

So can't recommend I am afraid.

I Honestly Dont Think I Have Ever Seen A Game With

I honestly dont think I have ever seen a game with more bugs and glitches in it than Driv3r. The attention to detail is truly awful and Atari should be ashamed of this. Some of the glitches include falling through the floor or the police not being able to get out of their car but instead float above it ?? Just a second ago a police car killed 5 pedestrians just to get to me erm a bit extreme. The cars pop up literally meters infront of you causing you to crash. The cars feel like Rik Waller is in the back seat. The onfoot sectors are appalling and half the time you fall through the floor or can't actually get out of the door. Trust me don't touch this piece of junk but just wait to see the driver fanboys criticise me.
